As some visitors have said before beware of a big scam which is going on around the Grand Palace. When foreigners leave their taxi some guys lead you to a small gate to get your tickets, at the gate you are told by another guy the Palace is closed for foreigners because the Queen is praying inside and will take at least two hours to get in, The guy looked quite official, there was even a soldier standing next to him, listening to all that scam talk without doing anything against it. There are lots of tuk tuk/taxi drivers who are after business hoping to catch tourists who don't want to wait and bring them to other temples for an extraordinary fare. Ignore them all and go through the main gate for buying your tickets. The Grand Palace is an unforgettable experience, eventhough it is extremely busy the rich scuptures and fasades of the temples and palaces will be overwhelming for your eyes, Absolutely a must see.

This place is amazing. The structure and beauty is the Grand Palace is second to very few. As far attire - men and women should wear clothes that cover their legs and have inclosed shoes. Shoulders and upper arms must also be covered. Cost is 400bht per adult. A little steep, but given what must be a huge devotion in cost to maintain the palace, your contribution is a must. Thai people have free access to the site. Don't go to Bangkok without going to The Grand Palace

One of the place in Bangkok you must visit as it is part of historic bangkok. You will learn a lot about thai history if you use of their guide inside the palace. DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYONE OUTSIDE THE PALACE AS IT IS FULL OF SCAM ARTIST THAT WILL TRY AND FIND ANY EXCUSES TO DRAG YOU SOMEWHERE ELSE.

This is a must see when in Bangkok. The temples are stunning, the detail is exquisite. Your arms and legs must be covered. I had a maxi dress on and took a pashmina scarf to cover my arms but the would not except the scarf so we had to queue up to hire a shirt, you pay a couple 200 Baht but get it refunded when you return the item.
