“Sunday Roast & Guinness”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2013

Living in Yangon without access to luxuries such as SUnday Roast and Guinness this place is my Bagkok Mecca.
Missed Sunday roast on last few trips but got it in last weekend. It is a really good meal, excellent amazing no I can't say that. There are some touches that could be improved like beef is a bit overcooked as are the Yorkies. But Cauli cheese, stuffing and a massive plate of food compensates, it is like being back home in a pub for Sunday lunch.
I'm Irish, I love Guinness and I do not get it in Yangon. So despite the price with my Roast, my family and on this occasions some good friends the whole package gets 4/5 from us.
Thanks Dubliner

“Not Very Irish- but that's good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2013

Another objective review from FattM. As usual, your experience may vary. THIS IS A REVIEW OF THE HOTEL, NOT THE BAR.

Although slightly more baht than I usually want to spend on a place in Bangkok, The Dubliner is well worth it. Easy check in and out, an elevator (English people: "lift"), well appointed rooms with all amenities (robe, slippers, great shower, mini fridge, hair dryer, writing/ working desk, very comfortable bed). One negative is that it's a little bit noisy- but that's just because it's so close to Sukhumvit Road which is more of a positive than a negative really. Phrom Phong BTS is very close.

A FattM peccadillo is that some places have electric outlets too far from the bed so charging a phone or iPad is a hassle. Not at The Dubliner though. Outlets are exactly next to the bed so charging stuff if easy and handy (yes, sometimes people call my phone while it's being charged).

One negative is that the the TV was pretty crappy- either just fuzzy static or Thai yammering- but who cares? That's why computers are for.

Would I go back? Definitely. I stayed three nights when I'd only planned for one just because it was so good.

Would I recommend it? Definitely? I'm recommending it now.

“Nice bar great for UK Sports”

We watched the Premier league games in here it has lots of TVs dotted around the bar and a huge screen as well, the service is excellent with the Manager (I think he was the manager Irish fella coming over to make sure we were all ok was a nice touch) the bar snacks are quite nice as well.
The listings they put on their Facebook page are also very helpful as you can see what they will be showing prior to arriving.
Overall food, drinks and football in Bangkok what more can you ask for :-)
