Description: By Customer Tripadvisor review... This smallish, cozy Italian restaurant in the heart of the city offers some of the best Italian food in Bangkok. Situated in a stand-alone Thai house, it has both indoor and outdoor seating and a room for private parties. The prices are average but the food is exceptionally good. There are weekly specialties on offer but the standard fair includes homemade pastas, salads, antipasti, fish, beef, lamb, chicken, and, of course, their famous pizza. They also have homemade desserts and an impressive wine list as well as a fully-stocked bar. Definitely worth a visit.

“OK food, but far too expensive”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

Il Bolognese is a nice place with seating both indoors and outdoors. Food is OK quality and service fine. The main problem is their prices. A very small portion of pasta costs app 500 Baht (inclusive tax and service) and that is an insult. Final bill for two persons having two pasta dishes and two main courses plus two small beers (no wine) was 2600 Baht - an outrageous price even higher than the very best gourmet Italian restaurants in Bangkok,

“ Definately would recommend”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2013 via mobile

Ok.....This place is very special. This was my second visit this week. I asked the manager, Andrea (male) that I wanted red meat and red wine because I have been in Bangkok for two weeks without any of these ingredients. I said I want classic Italian food and wine. Boy did he deliver!
An entrée of steak cappattio. Magnificent. Then came the palette cleanser of a lemon sorbet. Main was a lovely marbled sirloin of angus wagyu. Perfectly cooked to medium rare work some subtle veggies. The manager advised me to Ray it Italian style. Sprinkle worth rock salt and put liberal amounts of olive oil on it. Great advice. This was all matched to a lovely italian red wine. Top quality m highly recommended

“great tratoria on Sathorn”

I go to Il Bolognese every month. The atmosphere is very good, lunch and dinner. The service is also good but most importantly, the food is great. Value for money is Worth the journey.
That you go alone, in couple or with friends, you'll always have a good time.

This evening we ate at this restaurant ...
that's nice to hear the true Italian flavors ...
A good Romagna welcomes you and tells you the excellent dishes ... we took a starter of salami and spaghetti carbonara, a fillet of fish and a risotto cooked to perfection. Least two splendid dessert ... for money excellent. to return
