A statue of Buddha made of solid gold - wow - see it to believe it. A beautiful temple to visit. The place tends to be crowded in the morning. Most of the tour operators conduct the tour of this temple.

Very beautiful. loved seeing this Buddha and the temple. Just be aware of the pushy people trying to sell photos that they are in your face snapping as soon as you arrive.

I've seen a lot of Buddha's in Bangkok and this one is probably the least interesting for me. Really nothing special about it - more interesting watching the monks in the area and in their class.

This Buddha statue is 9.8 ft tall and weighs 5.5 tonnes made from 18 karat of GOLD. What a beauty. However, this statue is the only attraction in the area and the temple is not as beautiful as the Emerald Buddha temple. So if you do not have time, then it's okay to skip this.
But if you do plan to visit the Golden Buddha, then do this early evening so that then you can simply walk to China Town from there and spend some time gorging on the food and looking at various knickknacks.
Ladies need to wear a long skirt or wrap around a sarong before entering the temple.

Interesting first temple visited, the Buddha is solid gold and this is the interest point, overall it's a smaller attraction, if your in the area and want to see a temple this is ok
