This hotel has seen better days. It's only saving grace was how close it was to the Nana Skytrain, restaurant at the end of the road and street stall close by i.e. not anything particularly redeeming about the hotel itself. Breakfast was average at best and when my friend compained about all the cockroaches in her room. rather than move her, they just sent someone up with a can of fly spray. Appalling.

Overall the hotel was tolerable. But not good, or worth a fraction of what we paid. Overpromised with incredibly out of date photographs and demonstrated an embarassing lack of care.

Room tip: Don't stay here, you can definately find better!

Located just off Soi 15 Sukhumvit Road, close to Asoke skytrain and Sukhumvit subway stations, it extremely good value for money. Rooms are spacious, the interiors have recently been upgraded. The staff are amazingly friendly. For internet you just go accross to Time Square Building on Sukhumvit Road, there is an internet cafe on the first floor. Robinson Department Store has a great food court in the basement. For a really good local lunch/dinner go to Soi 14, there is a Thai restaurant in the back lane ..great food and cheap. Don't miss the Siam Society gardens with 3 old teak houses ..on Asoke, the Black Canyon coffeeshop is a little hideaway cafe with a green view onto the gardens.

Room tip: Request rooms facing the front road ..the rear rooms are in front of a concrete wall.

Its located on Soi 15 of Sukhumvit . Delightful Hotel and value for money. I have stayed at Manhattan Hotel every single time I have visited Bangkok- and that goes back to 1980 (31 years) . The rooms have undergone many changes, but the lobby has remained unchganged. Its only now that I find they have moved the bar to reception area. It costs under $ 50 for a double room with breakfast . I really do not know what star category it falls into but it could be 4 star or 3 star . I dont really care because its clean, comfortable and nice staff. A lot of Japanese stay here . The breakfast buffet is ample ( They have moved the buffet table to the far end ) , the restaurants are good and coffeee shop caters to various cuisines .

The shopping centres are walking distance away . Robinson Shopping Mall less than fifty mnetres and so are the ATM's and money changers .

Only grievance, the view is terrible and overelooks another building . Another drawback is that there is no Internet in the rooms and the one in the lobby charges BHT 100 ($ 3 ++) per 30 minutes - expensive

Highly Recommended

Stayed in this hotel for two nights because of business. The location is great since its very close to the BTS station "Asoke". Do not expect a good service from the staff, including the cleaning personell. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling and along the bath tub. Do not go for the breakfast; you will find better and way cheaper food stalls and restaurants nearby, so dont waste your money here. Also be aware of the "Taxi"-service in front of the hotel. They will offer you a totally overpriced ride in a rotten limousine. Obviously the hotel administration tolerates this scam. I will not stay in this hotel again. I checked out after two nights and went to the Holliday Inn.

Located bang in the middle of sukhumvit, close to the train

We were there for my mom school's reunion!! quite an eventful trip, bangkol has so much to offer, and if you are looking for a basic, functional hotel with a great location - this is it.

Its not really a luxurious hotel, however, it more than makes up with straightforward basic service and a great breakfast - spend the rest of the time out partying, eating and everything else
