Prince Palace Hotel

The value of the hotel is pretty good for what it is. It's located in Bangkok, sort of near everything. The rooms are worn and tired, but you can get a good night's sleep.

There's a great pool and bar on the upper levels of the hotel, the food is pretty good, and beer is fairly cheap. The view is great from the terrace and the service is friendly.

We were here during the water festival so it was quite entertaining. There's a lot of international folks here and they are all friendly while grabbing a beverage at the bar around the pool. I think a lot of tour buses and tourists are directed to this hotel and it keeps things interesting.

They also have a nice breakfast buffet which has just about everything. If you need internet access, there's a room with a few work stations that you can get on and there's a bar right there as well.

I did find it a little odd there's an open market just outside the front doors of the hotel but it's only about a 15 minute cab ride to the famous outdoor market and club section of town that everyone likes to stop by. Also Thai massages are so cheap! We were getting a massage nearly every day. Also at the outdoor market area in Bangkok you can get your feet massaged by little fishies. There's plenty of places to eat, we didn't get sick from eating anywhere.

Found this hotel very stuffy on the landing leading to the lifts, rooms needed modernising, very large hotel in a retail area of the city, surrounded with market stalls, nice small pool area. A taxi ride from the heart of the city but taxis are very cheap so didn't find this a problem, only there for 3.nights, wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from the front of the hotel, get's very busy with market traders from around 3...

The room are just about clean and there is a bad smell floating around. The hotel doesn't offer wifi for free but you can buy it for 600 baht per 24hours (that's the price of a nice meal in a restaurant for 2...).
In our room one light wasn't working and the mini bar was very loud all night.

Finally we had asked for a double bed room ( one bed for two) but when we arrived they told us they didn't have any. At some point we also asked reception to clean our room as we had moved the two single beds together but they simply ignored our request. So we gad all the dirt of under the second bed on the floor.

Avoid if you can, especially if you end up paying more than 40 quid.

We have been in this hotel for 4 nights. The rooms are comfortable, clean and wide. But the no laughs att al from the employees. Too big and too less personal. Also the paiment for Wifi i don't like. The costs of drinks at the bar are crazy high and when we asked some more peanuts, the comment was: you can only one small plate for free!,, location okay, vieuw okay, but we will choose not this hotel again.

Room Service was not requested, and we had items stolen from our bags while we were out. When we did need room service, after three attempts, it arrived with half of the requirements. Restaurant Staff not friendly, breakfast staff hurried us out, door staff had a smile. Facilities o.k. Faded splendour. Electricity to our Tower was turned off and we could not get out to catch an early flight, all lighting and lifts in blackout. Reception had to turn on building trip switch to let us out - just as well there wasn't an emergency...

Room Tip: Book elsewhere

I stayed in Prince Palace Hotel for 3 days in 3 Bedroom Suite room in Tower C. The hotel location was bit ok just 5 mins drive from Central shopping area. The hotel has huge no of floor with good cleaning environment. The staff was gud but to check in it takes 30 mins time they have to put more staffs and make as quick as possible. This hotel is rated 4star but they don't have Wifi Access it is really a worst thing. Even for the payable for one day they cost 700 bhat which is expensive. The buffet breakfast having leading Thai Dishes only they try to bring some Asian dishes too. Swimming pool was amazing, Gym they cost 200 bhat for an hour. But overall satisfied bcoz this is 1st time stay.

Room Tip: "Rooms are gud on the Tower A and B side". It has huge no of floors.

Rooms in the A tower are big but the rooms and the carpet needs cleaning. Rooms look very old and for a 4 star hotel the internet possibilities are poor. No free Wifi. You have to pay a lot of money for 24 hr. internet. Pools, food and service is oké.

Room Tip: Try a room in B or C tower they are more modern.
