“Boleh juga lah....”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

Tinggal selama 3 hari disini bersama rombongan tour.

Walaupun terkesan agak kuno interiornya, namun ruangan sangat bersih.

Bo Bae is the largest garments district in Bangkok. So, it's great if you are looking for fashionable garments. The hotel is also very close to the Grand Palace and many government offices. If you need a reasonably clean and big room, this is a must. However, buffet breakfast and general services are below international standard. There is no wifi when I stayed there, but, I think there is a line for connecting with internet inside the room.

Room Tip: This hotel offers suites accommodations at special rates.

The Prince Palace may be a 4 star hotel in terms of facilities, but it is not up to international standards in terms of service.

The attention staff give to guests is lacking. They talk with an air of rules as opposed to with a concern for guests requests. Instead of saying “Let me see what I can do”, their answer is simply can or cannot. Most have a poor command of English, listening only for key words and as a result often time responding erroneously. When I complained that the wireless internet router was down and needed to be reset, the response was that I could buy access time to the internet. They were also sometimes rude. When I complained that two of the bottles of water in my room had no plastic seal, the staff went out to replace the bottles, but with a noticeable groan.

Hotel policy enforces a blatant and almost abusive concern for managing cost and making profit. In the room, the door to the balcony is locked. At the breakfast buffet, signs warn guests to not leave with even a roll or slice of bread. Wireless internet rates are exorbitant: B100 (over US$3) for 15 minutes, B150 for 30 minutes, B300 for 1 hour, and B600 for 24 hours. What I found most offensive though was the intent to profit from misfortune - losing my room keycard, I was charged far more than the cost of replacement.

Even the music in the lobby and restaurants seemed to be set without concern - one Abba song repeated for the entire 3 days of my stay.

Perhaps abuse from the regular clientele causes some of these responses from the hotel, and perhaps the regular clientele do not mind being treated as such, but guests used to being treated with more respect will find this hotel a disappointment.

It was during the red shirt protest when I was in Bangkok and stayed at Prince Palace. I wasnt expecting a huge room like what i had. The market in the lower level of the bldg is kind a unique for me, I shopped till I dropped as well the side walk vendors. Eat where locals eat is always my travel motto and they have it next block, very affordable. My sister is going this week and I recommended this hotel and she will surely going to love it

We had booked into a 3 bedroom apartment as we were a small group of friends and was unsure what to expect from the mixed reviews. We loved it so much we booked again a week later when we needed to connect with our flight home. The grand furnishings and welcoming staff were great considering the good price we got on the internet. Admittedly the prices for everything in the restaurants and bars was a lttle expensive - by Thailand standards - it still was not over the top. My advice on the internet usage is to buy a Thai SIM card on a package from the airport and use that, works out alot cheaper and easier than looking for a internet lounge.
The views of Bangkok are incredible, we also had a very nice dinner in the Chinese Restaurant on the 32nd floor, well worth a look. We had a driver that met us out the front everyday, Mr Sam who was a credit to the industry, drove us around in his car and even took us to Laem Ngop for our trip to one of the islands, than picked us up.
Would recommend and stay again when we return to Bangkok.

During the flooding in Bangkok (October - November), my family was forced to spend many nights at a hotel because we could not go home. We decided to book a suite at Prince Palace Hotel because it was closed to my parents' office. Unfortunately, it was the worst decision we have ever made. Their overall service was very poor. Moreover, they did not even have clean sheets (most of them are stained), (as well as) stained and shortage of facial towels, and all of the bottled water they provided us were opened. So, we don't even know if the water came from the appropriate source and whether or not it is clean. Also, they RANDOMLY charged us with the beverages we have NEVER seen. They barely filled up the minibar … still, they have the guts to say that we consumed them and obligated to pay for those items. All I can say is that ... if you don't need to stay at this hotel, it would be a wise decision to stay at other hotels ... it's not worth your money and time to stay at Prince Palace Hotel as they have poor service and very poor accommodations. Even though it seems to be a valuable deal for you, it's really not worth it! Hope this review is helpful enough to assist you to make the right decision ... which allows your stay in Bangkok to become a pleasurable and relaxing trip!

I stay here only last week and was worried by all the bad things people have reported on!....glad I took no notice!! This hotel is fantastic!! It has gorgeous decor and fantastic staff!! The rooms were great! A few chips to the sink unit but who cares!? It has a fridge and air con which is all I needed :) there is a 7 11 store across the street and a bank to change money or use the ATM.... under the hotel is a massive Market (not noticeable whilst inside the hotel) they have very cheap clothing, beachwear etc! You could come with no luggage and get everything there!! 40p-50p (GBP) for a teeshirt!!.....tuk tuks and taxis are around constantly so everywhere is accessible and there is a tour operator in the hotel too :) a lovely man called mr Sam gave us lots of information and was very helpful as spoke great English :)lovely pool with towel service and nice pool bar with music!! all in all a great stay and would stay again!!!
