“Nice and basic”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

Stayd here 3 nights with family before moving to next stop. Very nice spot to go around BKK, maybe little far away from centre. Pool is quite small if that has any meaning. Rooms are clean, quite basic. Breakfast is ok. Maybe next time i choose some hotel which is closer to centre, that´s the only problem with this hotel.

And must say... gym is very nice.

Our 2 week tour of both Thailand and Cambodia brought us to the Century Park Hotel 3 separate times, during those 2 weeks. All 3 times, our stay was completely lovely.

The rooms are clean and it was great that we could manipulate the temperature control in order to adjust from Boston's snowstorms to Bangkok's 95 degree temps... The staff were great, everyone completely professional and smiling.

I did not visit the pool area but heard from friends that it was clean and relaxing, and our 1st stay (14th floor) overlooked the pool area and the highways flowing into the city.
Our 2nd/3rd stay - overlooked the temple, just behind the hotel - which was great for watching those coming in to worship, or even the monks just walking around for their everyday tasks.

I LOVED the french patisserie downstairs -- and enjoyed a couple different tortes on selection. The breakfasts in the main dining hall -- great variety - both for Asian and American/European offerings. I still miss having a glass of guava juice in the morning.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1421 - overlooking the temple during our 2nd/3rd visit. (Sorry - I can't reme...

We e mailed ahead explaining that it was our 25th Anniversary and the hotel kindly upgraded us and left an Anniversary card and fruit platter in the room which was a welcome touch. We stayed for 3 nights in hectic Bangkok so were really grateful for our comfortable cool room. The bathroom was very good with a large powerful shower. We had a great view of the city from our window on the 19th floor, I really enjoyed sitting at the window watching the monks early in the morning at the temple beneath our window. We didn’t have breakfast included in the room price but had breakfast one morning which was extremely good and very reasonably priced. The public areas were plush and comfortable. We loved the doormen who were so helpful and had a great sense of humour. We didn’t find the location to be a problem, it was a 10 minute walk to the sky train but we enjoyed exploring the local area on the way to the station. There was a small night market by the victory monument which we enjoyed strolling through on the way back to the hotel. Just outside of the hotel if you turn right is a really good massage parlour, I think it was called Bangkok health, we had a foot massage every day! This was a very good city hotel and we would stay here again if we were in Bangkok.

stayed at the hotel for a work conference so I was trying to pack a lot into a tight schedule. The rooms are a good size and the mini bar reasonably priced. Pool area was beautiful a very relaxing space. Easy walk to massage places and plenty of tailors if you are after good suits and dresses at cheap prices. the one issue is the distance to the main shopping centres of MBK and Siam square. They are a one hour walk or 40 mins by taxi or 20 mins by skytrain. Other than that if you want a nice queit area which is hard to find in Bangkok then this is a great Spot!

I stayed here for a conference 14-17 March.

The hotel is great value for Bangkok and a great lead in 4 star hotel. The staff are lovely and the welcome drink, cold towel on arrival was great.

The rooms are spacious and more traditional business style in design. I had the breakfast which was great. I had dinner at Jess and even though the presentation was great the service was slow and the portions were small. The Buffet looked a better option.

The pool area is a great size and offers good views of the city.

I would stay here again. The location is great. 20 mins walk to sky train and lot's of tuk tuks pass the hotel.

I stayed three nights, in March. The reception staff were helpful and accommodating, other staff, porters and breakfast room staff were less so. The porters were only helpful if they were sure of a tip, and the man who seemed to be in charge of the breakfast room, was surely to the point of rudeness.
Rooms were good, although my friend had asked for a smoking room, and it was noticeably of a lower quality of my room, which was non smoking. I asked for a light to be fixed in my wardrobe and the sink in the bathroom needed fixing, neither was attended to whilst I was there. The air conditioning was so noisy, that it kept me awake, it can't be shut off.
Entertainment in the bar was very poor, a group but the singer was not good.
The sky train is fairly near, get Tuk, Tuks or taxis, do not get the service from the hotel, especially the airport taxi, it costs four times as much as an ordinary taxi, and the driver tries to exhort more money from you, over and above what the hotel charges.

Room Tip: If you need a smoking room, make sure you have the same standard as a non smoking room.

Bangkok is a very vibrant city, one that never seems to sleep and amongst all of that the Century Park Hotel is an oasis. The staff are very attentive and cannot do enough to help, even when we arrived at gone 2 in the morning, the reception was still fully manned and a porter was available to help with our bags. As we were arriving quite late, the hotel arranged for a car to meet us at the airport for a very reasonable cost. The rooms are clean and well appointed and wifi is available (free for first 24 hours) in all rooms. We had a deluxe room on the 19th floor, which had a spectacular view of the city both by day and night. Breakfast is buffet style with a good selection of hot and cold dishes of both European and Asian style. The outside pool although small, is clean and has a number of loungers and is a welcome sight at the end of the day. The business center is located behind the reception and has computers (if you don't have your own with you) and printing facilities, all at a reasonable cost. We used the hotel as a base to visit sites outside of the city, so did not explore much around the hotel, we did find one restaurant though that was close to the hotel which did very good food at very little cost (separate review on this). Overall a very nice place to stay.

Room Tip: The higher spec rooms are on the higher floors.
