We booked Std. Suite room from 28 June to 30 June 2011. We reached the hotel reception at 13.00 PM. for check in. We were required to wait till 14.30 PM. as it was reported that room was not available.
While check in at 14.30 PM , we were asked to pay cash 100 us dollars as security deposit. Alternatively we were asked to swipe credit card without signature.
We request at reception to provide us a safe deposit locker. They demanded 500 Thai Bath as a security deposit.
We are frequent travellers to Thailand and stayed in different hotels in Phuket, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Bangkok. We were never ask to pay security deposit for the above. This was a unexpected experience and we felt very much annoyed.
Further we encountered a terrible experience when we entered room number 313 on31st floor. The condition of the room was worst. The Wooden Furniture, Door & Window Panels and Frames was rotten. The window Air Conditioner in the room was dead. There was only one dim light working in the room. When we opened, the door of the wash room, a severe smell of drainage occurred. We requested the reception to provide us another room. They refused saying this is a standard room. A house-Keeping attendant was sent with air purifier. He spread the air purifier in wash room. No use. After half hour the smell started again.
We demanded for a change of the room very strongly. At last they allotted other room No 336 on 33rd Floor at 23.45 pm. This room was good enough for the stay. The front office staff was not co-operative.
We selected this hotel as it has following two advantages
1. Pratunam and Indra market shopping areas are located at one minute walking distance.
2. "Rajprarop" railway station for Air Port rail link (sky train station) is located five minutes walking distance.
We thought of sharing this exeperienc.
