Tried 6 hotels before finding a room here. Location is on a side road but lots of restaurants and shops around to attract. Motorbike taxi will take you to Sukhumvit or Victory monument for 50 baht. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Disappointed that there was no Wi Fi available except in lobby. Rooms were OK. Staff were polite, doormen were helpful. Haven't yet found the ideal Bangkok hotel.

Unhelpful staff and rather dismal rooms! Windows so dirty no need to close the curtains! Didn't help that our two nights there we had no luggage but staff were unhelpful with calling airlines etc and toiletries provided were pretty awful. Location is fairly close to some markets and malls. There are five Ramadan so make sure your taxi knows which one your in.

Dear Kate,

Thank you for taking the time to fill out our questionnaire
during your stay with us. We do appreciate hearing from
our customers, as their comments are vital for us to
continue improving our accommodations.

The problems that you mentioned have been brought to the
attention of our housekeeping department. While the lack
of service you experienced is unusual and not the standard
of our motel, there is no excuse for a lackadaisical attitude
on the part of any of our employees. We are sorry for the
inconvenience and annoyance this incident caused.

Thank you again for your comments. We hope that you will
give us another chance to serve you.

Best regards,

Me and my husband have enjoyed our one night stay here. we wished we had chosen this hotel over our last one at best western klassique.

our room number 1818
we had a view of the city . At night looks georgeous neon lights through out the city.
Buffet breakfast include cereal yogurt fresh juice guava, pineapple, orange , apple ( all had many choices to choose )
french toast . eggs made fresh however you like ( i had omellete made fresh )
bacon , ham , cheesey cauliflower, sausages baked beans. these are just a few things they had to choose from .

to us reception was very helpful not grudging any request .
buffet breakfast staff walking asking you for top up of coffee. Always taking your dirty dishes to give u more room for more.

i think email them before your arrival . i did one month before , than one week before , than one night before . to make sure you get the room you desire . Even though it may annoy them you get what your heart wants. Because there is nothing more than to have not a room and service you dont like so make it clear before you arrive.

my husband love that they had rugby and rugby league on t.v . Many hotels have alot of soccer so my husband was happy .

the room yes is NOT modern but is well cleaned and looked after.
our room was spacious . In Bangkok you desire space because always on the streets is crowded so we loved our spacious room.

out the main door turn left you will see a busy street walk down there at night is a gift shop on left side DONT go there walk about another 200 metres on left side there is a man and his wife selling same thailand gifts not inside shop but outside on footpath he sells many of the same things for 20-50 percent cheaper. You can bata him down again even though he already cheap. He owns another store aswell and is very good.

we liked the location of this hotel aswell . looks beutiful compared to many hotel within walking distance.

A++ for us

Room Tip: room 1818 up high , away from lifts is at the end of the hallway . away from other rooms.

I had a bad feeling coming in after reading the reviews. Travel agent booked us here and I was stoked. The reviews are all correct. Its a smelly area, the rooms are all the same poor condition and the people don't really seem to care to help you out (except the manager). We arrived and no one helped us with our bags, no one opened the door for us seeing us struggle. After checking in we went up to our room. Old carpeting and 2 beds. Even though we reserved 1 king. the view - LITERALLY a WHITE WALL. Now, I don't usually care about views at all, but come on...a WHITE WALL?? ON MY VACATION?? NO. The power outlets next to the bed didnt work. The remote for the small TV didnt work. The room smelled. The toilet was broken, once you flushed it made a horrible loud noise for 15 minutes. Shower head...what shower head? May as well been a hose. My boyfriend called down to request a new room and they showed him 3 rooms that were exactly the same. I immediately booked a room at the Hansar Hotel after reading those great reviews, and honestly it was only $80 a night more.

THE ONLY reason this place gets 2 is because the manager on duty was very concerned and tried to help us. It was too late though. He tried to give us an upgraded room (which if you look at their pamphlet youll see all the rooms are the same). He offered us a refund for the last night - which almost a week later I still havent gotten. We lost a few hundred dollars on this but there was no way you could pay me to stay there.

Good location. Not far from the shopping areas. Room/Service/Hospitality are ok for the price paid. Food & beverage are delicious. Many local eatshops are located around the hotel. Haven't tried the spa, so no comment about it. Take the city link to Rajprarop station and take a taxi of about Baht 50 to the hotel.

I visited with my girlfriend on the 19th Feb 2013. I hadn't made a booking and i knew the pricing having studied it online. When I enquired about a room at reception i was told there were no rooms and the cheapest room would have been around £80 a night. I then showed the very rude and unhelpful desk person the dates available and pricing on the website which he just ignored. I decided to book online outside and return with my booking (we had a long journey to Bangkok and it was late and we just wanted a place to crash, otherwise we would have walked elsewhere) and again was treated very poorly.

Needless to say they had rooms available and we were shown to our room by a very friendly and helpful member of staff. The room was on the 25th floor, the highest and the view was a white wall no more than a meter of two away from our building.

I think we had the lift shaft mechanisms above us as all night long all you could here was the lift going up and down. Sleep was very hard to get. The shower also didn't work properly and having complained twice it still wasn't sorted.

I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. And it is also quite for from either BTS or MRT lines.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel.

Stayed 3 nights in February 2013. Check-in was efficient, but no smile and no information about the hotel or room were given. I thought the hotel was closer to Makasan Station than Rajprarop Station. So if you arrive by airport link take the City Line to Rajprarop Station and not the express lane to Makasan as it is impossible to get a taxi during rush hours. You could walk from Makasan, but don’t recommend it if you have luggage.

Booked room without breakfast as many TA reviews has mentioned the poor breakfast. Many local eateries around the hotel so you will never go hungry!

Room is very dated, slow internet and old TV with very limited channels. Wall paper falling of the wall. Spent one afternoon by the pool which was nice, but not once did the pool attendant come around and ask if we wanted to order anything. Poor service.

Upon departure we had arranged for their complimentary shuttle service to Makasan Airport terminal which was nice gesture.

Would look for another option for my next BKK trip.
