Look to be fair the actual room we ended up with was perfectly suitable and the staff were very pleasant; it was just not what we were expecting. We’re actually very disappointed in Wotif as we booked what we thought was a suite at the Rembrandt Hotel, however we ended up being housed in the Rembrandt Suites (not Hotel) in a self contained apartment. The first apartment they set us up in was very tired and looked like it hadn’t been upgraded since 1985. The tired, ripped drapes and the two king single beds joined together that looked like they might start vibrating at any moment was a nice touch to yesteryear. I tried to get us moved to the actual hotel, however this was ignored and a newer, renovated apartment was offered and we decided to accept. However a renovated apartment does not entirely maketh a holiday. Now they say to ward of Dementia you need to mentally challenge yourself, well I believe the Rembrandt can help with this. We were told that even though we were in the Suite section we can still eat breakfast in the hotel section and swim in the hotel pool. The only issue was that we had to take one elevator from our room to the 1st floor, then walk about 30 metres to another elevator (that looked like a service elevator), ride that to the 2nd floor (car park), then walk through some doors, down a hallway, through another set of doors to the 3rd elevator that we then rode to the 2nd floor for our breakfast or the 4th floor to enter the pool area. Then of-course repeat this maze to triumphantly return to our room. Every day was like a mini memory test, and was especially a pain when your bathers were still wet and dripping. Like I said, we are rather upset with Wotif as we felt it was false and misleading advertising. When we rang their ‘help’ line the gentleman just kept on saying, that was what we had booked and his attitude was; ‘like deal with it!’ In one sense he is correct, we did book a suite at the Rembrandt, however it was never disclosed that the suite was a self contained apartment that was disjointed from the Rembrandt Hotel. In saying all this I can’t honestly rate the Rembrandt Hotel, however if you get a recently rejuvenated self contained apartment (suite), then they are perfectly acceptable and will also help to ward off dementia!

First and foremost, please let me apologise for your unsatisfactory stay with us and thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback.

I have read your feedback and was truly saddened to read that we were clearly not able to provide you the great quality of service The Rembrandt is normally known for. We strive to achieve high standards of consistent service and clearly we have fallen short of your expectations on this occasion.

We will take your comments and plan accordingly to ensure our standards improve.

Best regards,
The Rembrandt Management Team

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Well appointed rooms and friendly and most of all competent staff- would like to emphasize this due to an issue we had, which was very satisfyingly resolved by the Duty Manager Mr. Saranyu Wimoolchart- many thanks to you. Would like to mention the most creative and tasty cocktails at the Rooftop bar and also the absolutely fabulous dinner at the Indian Restaurant. Absolutely breathtaking views and an impeccable service. Our sincere thanks to the manager Mr. Tony and his staff for looking after us. Thanks Mr. Binay and Mr. Lokesh.

While traveling through Southeast Asia recently, I stayed three nights at the Rembrandt Hotel in Bangkok. Had a real nice room. The restaurants were good, especially the Da Vinci restaurant. The hotel had a nice swimming pool. The staff was very nice and courteous and very helpful about tips for getting around Bangkok. Overall, I really enjoyed my stayed there. The hotel was in a nice neighborhood as well.

Stayed for 4 nights in October. A well positioned hotel, with really nice rooms and super friendly staff. If we come back to Bangkok in the future we’d definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you!

Room was great, toiletteries were provided and it was cleaned every day.
The pool was very nice with great views to Bangkok’s skyscrappers!
The cocktails on the top floor cocktail bar are very good, although a bit overpriced for Thailand’s standards.
I would definately come back here.
