“Clean and friendly hotel.”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

An impressive entrance/foyer greeted us on our arrival at this hotel. We had an upgraded room which was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was good. We were however disappointed with the view from the room (it was so close to other buildings that we could see directly into apartments of the locals) considering it was an upgraded room. The staff were very friendly. The pool area was fairly small but nice. We only ate sandwiches so can't comment on the general food. They were fine. Prices for food and drink were typical hotel prices.

Hotel is in a fantastic location to explore all that Bangkok has to offer. It is a five minute walk to the sky train which gives you easy, cheap, and air conditioned access to the city.

The hotel room itself is slightly dated in terms of the decor and could do with some renovation. The main public areas have though been kept up with the times more so than the rooms. Swimming pool was not used as it didn't look particularly appealing.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ample but nothing more. Plenty of choice but remains pretty much the same everyday.

The local area around the hotel had plenty to offer. Lots of restaurants on the road outside the hotel and a lively, fun, modern shopping centre just around the corner.

If you are looking for a comfortable base for your stay in Bangkok, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend but if your looking for luxury I would suggest you would be disappointed. Overall would certainly stay here again

stayed here this March for 3 nights on arrival in Thailand, before travelling to Phuket. We'd booked the room for the night before we arrived, as our flight got in at 0630hrs. The room was all ready when we got there, check in staff got everything organised quickly, and our bags were whisked straight to the room. We had a Deluxe room booked, which gave us a stunning view of the city, especially after dark. All the usual amenities were there, including 2 Bathrobes/slippers, and toiletries were refilled daily. Complimentary WiFi was good, no problems with the signal. Some folk have commented on the food, but all the meals we took there were good, and the night we visited the Mexican Restaurant, the food was excellent. The prices were reasonable for a city hotel as well. We found the pool great for chilling after a hot and busy day exploring, it was open late as well which was a bonus. I haven't commented on the spa as we didn't use it.

We recently stayed at the Rembrandt hotel in Bangkok for 4 nights for our honeymoon. The hotel is about 45 minutes from the airport with traffic and situated in a great position for getting to all the local tourist attractions via the skyline and underground (both very easy to use and very close by)
Bangkok generally is very busy and even crossing a road is difficult but as long as you are prepared for that it isn't too bad.
The hotel is fairly standard and the room was fine. We were upgraded to a better room as part of theory on deal which was great and upon our arrival the room was laid out beautifully with roses and swans made out of towels.
The pool is nice however again fairly standard.

We ate at most of the restaurants in the hotel as we were not keen on the street food, the pricing was great considering it was in house and a special mention has to go to the Indian restaurant on the top floor. Dinner for two was about £90 but was well worth it with a view over the city and more food than either of us could eat (I recommend generally ordering less food with each dish as every meal we ate we left some)

Overal a great stay in a nice hotel

We have stayed at the Rembrant on numerous occasions, the location is great, the rooms very comfortable, but what really makes your stay there are the staff...you will receive service and attention of the highest standard, nothing is too much trouble and any request is dealt with efficiently.
During our visit this we ate in the wonderful Indian restaurant at the top of the hotel, which was absolutely amazing and highly reccommended...in fact we liked it so much it encouraged us to try the hotels Italian and Mexican restaurants as well! Both were devine and another great reason not to leave the hotel!
Once again it was a wonderful stay and we are already looking forward to the next one!

I chose this hotel as a good base in which to explore Bangkok. It was within walking distance to the skytrain which we used to get around the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of food.
There are some nice restaurants close to the hotel in particular 'P' kitchen which serves very cheap but tasty Thai food.
