This hotel has a real sense of style - a beautiful Thai design with antiques and a contemporary twist. We were only staying one night on our way home, which may explain why we were in the older wing with fewer facilities than our previous Bangkok hotel. However it was extraordinarily cheap, perhaps just a fifth of the price it would have been in London. The buffet breakfast was excellent, served in a calm room.

The location is just a 5-minute walk from Skytrain station and also the airport link line terminus. However to avoid the traffic the hotel even gave us a free minibus ride back to the station.

A friend and I recently spent 4 nights here during a trip around Thailand and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel looks classy inside and out, and the staff are friendly and attentive. One of the biggest draw cards for this hotel is it's convenient location, being a mere 5 minute walk from the sky-train station which connects to both the main train line as well as the airport specific line. The only real complaint I have is the shower in the bathroom. The glass screen is extremely small, and fails to prevent much of the water from a shower covering the bathroom floor. Also, like many of the hotels we stayed in in Thailand, the beds are quite firm but by no means uncomfortable. I would certainly stay here the next time I visit Bangkok.

Dear Michael Z,

Many thanks for taking the time to submit your positive comments regarding our service and location. With regards to the shower, we are currently looking at a number of alternatives to solve the issue in those few rooms that are affected, which should be implemented in the coming weeks.

Hopefully we will be able to welcome you back during your next visit to Thailand.

Definitely yes. The internal is not the top of 5-star but definitely a 5-star if you need a decent look for a stay. Staffs are absolutely friendly with a lot of smiles makes you feel confortable at all times. Location is at great strategic, 3 mins walking distant to bts and 5 mins walk to airport rail link. Abt 1.5km away from Anusawaree where the hubs of miniwan, buses to varies off bangkok tourist places like pattaya, koh samed, hua hin etc. Last but not least. At one of the most affordable 5 star hotel you could find in bangkok central. What else do you want? :) and I really like the ambiance of the lounge next to lobby with good pianist accompanied me through the afternoon. Yeah!

Just a quick stay in early November 2013 before a long return flight home. One night in sweet comfort after 2 weeks of travel! I started this trip with a 4 day visit to the Sukosol in late October 2013. Gracious hosts, excellent concierge and the food in-house is wonderful.
My favorite day? Walk up the Golden Mount as recommended by the Concierge, return to the Sukosol for a lunch of Phad Thai and Thai Iced Tea; followed by a Thai Massage,,,heaven on earth.
My first stay here was in late 2012 after another two week trip in the area. That was good luck and now I will say at this fine hotel whenever I am lucky enough to be in Bangkok!
Amazing access to the Phaya Thai Skytrain station.
I have recommended you to many business and couples travelers.

Room Tip: For a bit extra the club level provides a calm and gracious lounge with excellent reading aterial, d...

I've stayed at The Sukosol regularly for a few years (since it was Siam City) and it is my fav hotel in Bangkok.-You get a lot for you money 1. Great location- SkyTrain, Airport Link 2. Sleek modern rooms, nice amenities, super clean 3. excellent customer service. I usually spring for the club floor if possible. The restaurants are also very good as is the spa.
Jan 2014 I used The Sukosol for a 25 person international Business Meeting. Again- the Customer Service could not have been better- from initial planning to the coffee breaks and billing invoice processes. Highly recommend.

I have stayed at The Sukosol each of the 4 times I have visited Bangkok (usually at the beginning and end of my trips). I always return because of the wonderful service, great facilities, fantastic buffet breakfast and beyond convenient position (right across from Phaya Thai BTS and the Airport Express). Rooms are comfortable and clean, while the recent renovations are fantastic too. This hotel is a complete bargain! The location allows you quick and easy access to Siam for shopping, MBK and also the chatuchak weekend markets.
A special mention to Harry at the front desk for his wonderful help and service during both our check in and check out. No doubt we will see you again on our next trip!
