Stayed here for 4 nights. Room was wonderful and buffet breakfast outstanding. Hotel location is excellent with train station just across the road. Staff were very helpful. Pool was very relaxing especially after a hard day of tours or shopping. Free Wifi also. Would recommend to everyone

Myself and my partener stayed here on 13th Oct 2012 for 1 night and then on 18th Oct 2012 for a further 2 nights. The hotel is great, great location, very clean, great swimming pool and facilities. The rooms were luxury and the bed was so comfortable. They had a cocktail bar called the Saphire bar which was great. My only problem was that the food and the mini bar in the hotel is quite expensive and maybe they should reduced prices slightly. But, I will definatley stay here again :)

Getting around Bangkok is a nightmare, especially if you're new or only there for a few days. The Sukosol is about 3 mins walk from the BTS (skytrain) line which is also the location for the airport rail link - so the hotel is super convenient compared to the vast majority. This alone would save you hours a day in walking around in 30 degree heat or sitting in traffic.

The hotel itself is very pleasant and, because it's an upgrade of an old hotel, the rooms are about 30% bigger than most hotels in the price-range. They have new bathrooms, great beds, a proper desk and free internet etc > all the stuff you expect from hotels but don't always get. The (free) pool and gym facilities are also fantastic and even include a sauna if the heat of the day wasn't enough for you already.

Because the hotel isn't part of a global chain and is locally owned the staff are definitely take more pride in helping you find things on maps, plot a course there or suggest locations to check out.

Room Tip: Amazingly convenient location and large rooms compared to most similarly priced hotels.

Dear Rob W,

Thank you for writing such a fabulous review.

We are often complimented on our great location and agree that being situated beside the BTS Skytrain and Airport Rail Link stations at Phaya Thai is a great convenience and advantage for our guests.

We are overjoyed to hear that you loved our rooms, free Wi-Fi, Fitness Centre and staff. As an independent, locally owned and operated property it’s our mission to provide visitors with an intimate and sophisticated retreat with all the facilities expected of a world-class hotel, along with renowned Thai service from the heart. The Sukosol is truly where East meets West and hospitality and art merge with an unforgettable twist!

We hope to see you again soon.

Stayed here with girlfriends on a flying two night visit. Our deluxe room was very large, had a nice little table with two chairs and a desk in the alcove, and a gorgeous bathroom. Beds were a wee bit on the hard side, but was impressed by the size of their roll away beds - not the small uncomfortable roll aways hotels usually use.

The Phaya Thai skytrain station is a few minutes walk from the front door giving you easy access to Siam Square, Central World and MBK for all your shopping needs.

I found the majority of the staff weren't overly friendly, but they did get the job done.

Breakfast here was exceptional. Huge variety and really, really nice.

Overall a good stay.

Stayed in family room 1359 . Nicely appointed , clean bathrooms, very good quality linen, free wifi access and close to main markets - mbk, sukumvit, Indra etc. entrance to the hotel is non descript and lobby is small. Breakfast is business like and not eloborate. Staff are friendly. During billing they charged me extra and on enquiry said it was a mistake. Overall a fine hotel
With some class.

Nice hotel, good rooms and good value. Easy access to airport express skytrain. Hotel location would benefit by having a lighted sign which was visible from the skytrain station at night time. Otherwise a good stay and away from the "night lights" of Bangkok.
