Unassuming entrance in contrast to some of its competitors but just as good. Stunning rooms with a glass walled bathroom (and a blind in case modesty requires). Well located, friendly staff and the pool terrace on the roof well worth a visit, especially in the evening when the city is all lit up. The wifi was a bit hit and miss, otherwise no complaints

Room Tip: The higher up you are, the better the view

Not suitable for business travel at all:

- Rooms are ok - but very old

- Beds were hard

- No tea/coffee maker in the room

- Torn bath towels

- Safety box not working

- No power connection near working table. Had to move table physically near a power socket.

If you are on a budget tourist travel, then it's fine. But if you're travelling on business, then it's not worth it at all.

Stayed here using a Travelzoo voucher for around 30 pounds per night. The newly renovated deluxe rooms are fantastic - great beds and bathroom. Only negative about the hotel for me was breakfast which was a little limited in terms of choice - could have done with fresh pancakes for example. The Silom area was great - can't really fault the deal and hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a deluxe

Just went back to Bangkok and stayed at a really nice hotel in Sukhumvit and it reminded me to write a review of the horrible stay I had here:

DO NOT STAY IN A SUPERIOR ROOM. DO NOT STAY IN A SUPERIOR ROOM. DO NOT STAY IN A SUPERIOR ROOM!!! The pictures for this hotel on travel sites do not represent the actual hotel for the Superior room. WATCH OUT! Get the Deluxe room at a minimum to receive what's being represented. I booked a 3 night stay here and after 1 night I paid an extra 500 Baht/night for the Deluxe room - it's a night vs day difference.

While I understand paying for a less expensive room I might not get the best view, maybe a smaller room or maybe just a shower and no tub, but the Superior rooms in this hotel are COMPLETELY different than what is pictured on travel sites. I was so upset by this. The Superior rooms are dark, low ceilings with very old furniture and the bathroom is small with a shower curtain, tub does not drain, no hand towels (just two large towels - I had more towels in my hotel in Nepal!) and mold everywhere. The toilet had cigarette ash on it too! Horrible experience. After my first night I went to ask the hotel staff why the room looked so different that what was pictured online. I had taken pics of the bathroom and room and showed the stay and they looked away from my camera photos with embarrassment. Being there only 3 nights, I didn't want the hassle of trying to find another hotel so I paid the extra money to stay in a deluxe room.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone and online hotel partners need to vet the pictures they received from Furama Silom.

Room Tip: You must get a deluxe room at the minimum. These are the remodeled rooms.

The room we checked into looked great at first: big, modern, fish bowl-style bathroom. Upon closer inspection we were a little disappointed about it being a bit run down and smelling of stale cigarette smoke. We were only here for a few nights, so we didn't bother complaining or asking for another room.

The rooftop pool was very nice, with a great view, and cool, clean water. Breakfast was a treat, with plenty of options, all of which was very tasty.

The location is prime and the customer service was friendly and accommodating. If you can find this place for the right price, it's a solid choice, albeit not an excellent one.

Good position and good price .
Let me start by saying that I love in Bangkok 's Silom area - like and easy, and at the same time, all very close. Therefore, when going on a trip , I would like to find a decent place of residence in here. Selection of the hotel Furama not accidentally, and for many reasons - firstly we were already living in the Furama.

We booked in with furama a lot based on pics online and reviews. We first got here got shown to our superior room and it was disgusting. Bathroom covered in mould. Due to our long stay we told reception it wasn't good enough. Got shown two other rooms which were not great. In the end had to pay extra and go for a deluxe room. That was much better but we had to go through a run around to get there.
The cleaner lady was lovely, breakfast was great. Staff were great. But the room standard and cleaning was just not up to scratch.
Location is great and staff were helpful but the Internet pics are very deceiving.
Pizza place "peperoni" across the road and to the left a bit is beautiful and the little office next door which does laundry was great service and great prices. Internet was fine, you must renter login each morning, air con worked well, tv reception was terrible but after we complained they promptly fixed this.
