We arrived at the hotel rather early (at apx. 11:00AM) and our room was already ready for us. What a lovely way to start our 2-night stay at the hotel.

We booked a 2 queen bed suite (90 square meters) and as HHonors Gold we were upgraded (upon request) to a gorgeous deluxe suite (114 square meters) on the 32nd floor of the hotel (just next to the Presidential suite).

The suite had a large living room, guests' toilet, a huge bedroom (with a comfy bed), a rather big walk-in closet and a huge bathroom as well (split into 3 rooms – sinks' room, bathroom with tub and shower and toilet room).
The suite also included a very Bang & Olufsen sound system, a coffee machine, 2 large LCD TV's and a PS3.

We were greeted by some fruits and candy (which were replenished daily), a Conrad duck&elephant and a wonderful view to Lumphini park.

The executive lounge was excellent with all-day refreshments and a very lovely spread (and drinks) during the afternoon and evening. Breakfast was lovely as well (as opposed to the somehow hectic breakfast at the restaurant downstairs).

The hotel's pool was adequate (although we did not use it).

All in all, a very nice Cobrad in a good location in Bangkok.

Room Tip: Go for the club rooms/suites.

We stayed at the Conrad for two nights in October 2012. The hotel is amazing! We had a gorgeous room on the 25th floor with a great view of Bangkok. We also had access to the lounge on the 29th floor. It is a great base in a relatively quiet area & is a 10 minute walk to the Skyrail station. The staff were very friendly & helpful. I would defintely stay there again!

This was our first time in this hotel. Classy place, walking distance to BTS station and shuttle bus is provided about every 15 mins. We walked most of the time between Ploenchit station and the hotel. Taxi driver had some difficulty finding the entrance at first but soon you start finding your way.

Pool is big enough and quite peaceful and parasols are provided, which is essential. For those who are interested, there aren't many kids here at least now, but mostly couples and people in business.

Executive lounge provides wifi connection and chance to have complimentary breakfast, high tea and evening cocktail nibbles and drinks. You can however choose to have your breakfast in the second floor cafe too, with more variation. Breakfast selection is varied but I still think that Millenium Hilton can't be beaten in that. The pool is better here though.

Even if you have a paid wifi connection, at least in the executive floors it doesn't work well, the connection breaks a lot. Air conditioning works well, is quiet and is well situated in the room. Executive room is good and spacious.

There is a gym with classes but I didn't try it. Service is mostly very good and prompt but the executive lounge sometimes keeps you waiting with getting to order your drinks. Someone should maybe oversee that customers are being served. Elevators are very fast. Reading previous guests' comments, I hope we won't be scammed with non-metered taxis. Neighbourhood is ok, we're feeling safe walking back at night.

Room Tip: Executive room was of good value

I used to stay here often and used to like the hotel but was very desappointed, this time.
I arrived late and checked in as Diamond member with 2 rooms under my name and had a discussion about the lounge access (for 2)...?? then I ordered room service and unlike the promissed 20 minutes i had to wait for almost an hour... foam pillows were hard to get and took forever .. going to the pool, the staff was chit chatting for at least 15 kminutes untill I had to stand up to order my drinks at the bar ....service was very lousy in general, with the sole exception for the executive lounge.
When checking out for the airport the doorman suddenly got a 'special' taxi that tried to overcharge me for 500 Bath and clearly had some 'relationship' with the conrad staff. Moreover this taxi was running out of gas on the elevated road where we got stuck while the driver had to call his colleagua/friend. The rip off continued with the second driver, untill i removed the towel hiding the running taxi meter and the (new) driver furiously stopped in the middle of a full motorway -very dangerous-, while treathening me (got stuck again). I even had to call my friend who is an offcer in the Thai military to calm him down, get things moving and accept the real rate....a very unpleasant experience with almost missing my flight as a result ....I am always very cautious with taxis but had full confidence in the Conrad staff...which was the wrong bed this time. The Conrad Bangkok is a nice hotel but needs a more displined staff and a much strickter management ! I hope to see this improved soon !

Room Tip: most rooms are nice because the hotel has high floors only
