We visited Bangkok again in Oct 2010! The location of this hotel is so apt for Indian tourists since there are N number of Indian restaurants around this hotel. Even my favourite market place is close by. The hotel is osum as we know its one of ta tourist attractions in Bangkok --we visited the roatating rooftop and enjoyed the light colours immensely!
The buffet was a lavish spread again for breakfast --Dont miss the mini golf which is available at 1baht/ball .The whole hotel neat and tidy. Very crowded and full when we visited. Totaly worth the money.

Dear Valued Guest,

Warm greetings from Baiyoke Sky Hotel! It’s been a long time since your last visit in Bangkok. We hope you’re safe and healthy during these uncertain and unprecedented times we are experiencing now all over the world. We would like to inform you that currently, the Thai Government has still kept their severe follow up with the pandemic and we hope that the ongoing spread all over the world will soon be recovered.

We hope to see you back again very soon when things start to return to normal.

Wishing you best of health and we remain.

This hotel is one of the worst experiences I had in the last 5 years. Dirty, smelly , unfriendly and totally overpriced!!!

If you are in Bangkok I reccommend that you do not take this hotel as an option.

Baiyoke Sky Hotel is located in a bad location where the only prospect you could find is cheap shopping and as a consolation a Mac Donald and KFC nearby if you are remotely interested. Amidst crowded areas stand a very tall, ill managed building which does not do justice to its height. Maybe had it been managed by a Marriot or an Anantara, it would do differently.

Would not return there again, the service is crap, the AC never worked well. Takes a long time to get up to your room, especially, if you are staying anywhere in the 72nd floor like I was staying. The pool of the hotel does not match the Hotel's status.

Room tip: Just dont go there, find a smaller hotel which can offer you personalised service.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times. Overall it's a great hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is old and the signs of aging does show in the fittings, but don't let that put you off... The views from the room and the sky deck are awesome.

Buffet breakfast also gives a great panoramic view of the city and the choice of food is excellent.

I've never had an issue with customer service. It's a busy hotel, but is efficiently run.

The travel services in the lobby are helpful - a little expensive, but saves you having to barter with a street vendor for tour services etc. my experience was excellent with the driver and car they offered me for the day.

The neighbourhood is busy, lots of night markets and shopping malls in walking distance.

Are there nicer hotels nearby? Yes. However price and value are evenly balanced here and is on my list of hotels I would consider in Bangkok.

What a Hotel right in the heart of the city. I stayed with me family on the 40th floor what a view...the best part is that the obesrvation tower is totally free for guest who stay in the hotel. I the breaksast is on the 84th floor but not good for indians except for the paratha is really good. and dont miss the fruits that too was nice.

Room tip: dont insist for higher floor as the lower floors the hotel give a free upgrade to a delux room and the view is almost the same.

Good location. Near the shopping area. It's not near the main road though so if you take the train and walk, you might miss it if you don't actually know where it is. There are international service staff available. The pool is nice too. Really decent and affordable place for a short stay. I will return to this hotel for BKK shopping spree.

Room tip: They have a 'ladies only' level but the problem with that was it requires the key card to open the door into the lobby, and someone went to manually lock the door from the inside, so we were stuck and we had to keep going up and down because the staff thought something was wrong with our card key access.
