My family and I spent 4 days at the Grand Hyatt Erawan. The hotel in all it's grace and splendor was majestic and graced with huge entryway pillars, stair cases of yesteryear and teamed with nobel Hyatt staff.

The rooms were tremendous. We stayed in a suite overlooking the city center on the 22nd floor. It was spectacular, clean and well maintained.

Our service was terrific. We are diamond members and were treated very well. The breakfast and eve buffet we nice touches. Offering various dishes, drinks and scenery.

The club level dining area is dated and in need of a major updating, yet this has been well documented by mgt as well as guests and should not sway your stay. I'm sure they'll do a fine job here. Special note the dinning area was very busy during our stay and filled to or near capacity each day. Wasn't a huge issue as I just waited for a seat to open to sit down.

Please also beware of street taxis from the hotel. 2 of the 4 taxis we took doubled their fare on us as soon as we left the property. Not the hotels problem, yet reputable and trustworthy services are why I pick this level and price hotel. However, mgt did a excellent job of addressing my concerns and suggestions.

If your looking to stay in the heart of the city. Close to high street shopping and near major attractions this is the place. Cozy, classic and service driven has the hotel Grand Hyatt Erawan at the top of my list.

A beautiful and well maintained hotel in the very heart of the city. The grand Hyatt erawan does not disappoint. It's an easy walk to shopping centres so perfect for the serious shopper! Rooms are huge and very well appointed. Staff lovely and very helpful. The bellmen outside are fantastic, always greeting us with a smile. They were very helpful in getting us taxis. We will definitely stay here again when we return to bkk. :)

Excellant staff, very nice rooms and general prices are lower than the other big chains. This is my spot to stay in BKK. The location is very central and makes getting around the city easy. If your trying to go anywhere on the BTS line I would highly suggest using it as the traffic in central BKK is quite bad.

Room tip: As of Jan 2013 the rooms from the 12th floor and below were very nicely renovated.

If you're a big shopper, this is the hotel for you. It's located right across Siam Square, with easy access to the most popular malls - Central World, Paragon, Platinum, etc. It is also just a minute or so away from the Chit Lom BTS station, so further areas are easily accessible as well.

The hotel has well-appointed rooms and an attentive staff. The breakfast buffet has a vast selection of international fare - try their homemade butter. There are also several other restaurants on the property, a wonderful spa and an adjoining mall with a convenience store and more restaurants.

The only things I would have changed: my supposed non-smoking room smelled a bit of smoke (not sure why), and Internet, which was not included in my room rate, was quite expensive (almost THB800/day).

This hotel is the best in Bankok, with the grand staicase and fine resturants and very nice rooms. Served by large bank of elevators to meet the needs of so many guest and if you do not try the "sticky rice" in the resturant, you will miss a great treat, Convient location for tourning Bangkok, especially knowing the traffic problems in that city.
