Whats not to like - the service was great, the location is as central as you can get in Bangkok and the breakfast buffet was to die for!! Do stay here if you visit Bangkok.

Staying at the Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel was a great experience. The staff is very friendly and courteous, the gym is open 24 hours and is fully equipped, and if I had the time, I would have loved to try out their spa services. My room was very comfortable and the Wi-Fi was very reliable, which helped a lot since I was working while I was in Bangkok. I also had lunch at the Erawan Tea Room, which is located on the 2nd floor of the Erawan Bangkok boutique mall. They served delicious authentic Thai cuisine in a wonderful setting. The hotel itself also has a wonderful location, right in the heart Bangkok, and several establishments are just a leisurely walk away. I would definitely stay here again.

By far and away the best service in Bangkok. A great hotel, excellent food options, conveniently located in the heart of the city, set apart by the best staff. They are knowledgeable, courteous, and genuinely friendly. All around a first class hotel.

During my staying about 1 week, I was impressed by staffs. They were all very efficient and
courteous, from the front desk to the maids. The location is very easy to access to center
points of Bangkok. I really love to stay here.

The hotel is located bang in the middle of Sukhumvit in addition it is connected (through Erawan shopping mall) to the BTS Sky Train and walkway which makes it easy to travel using the Sky Train or even walk to close by malls such as Central World, Central Chitlom or Siam Paragon. If it wasn't for Bangkok traffic, most attractions in Bangkok would only have been a few minutes away from the Hotel.

The check-in process was in the suite - assisted by one of the assistant manager who was articulate, informative and very helpful with the process.

I stayed in the Executive Suite - the room was at best - average - nothing much to speak about here. The room does seem run down and old and in desperate need for renovation. The phone on the desk was a set I saw in a Hongkong hotel 20 years back. The safe in the room is a 10-15 year old model. The marble is of terrible quality (I know because that is my business), the paint work in the bathroom was clumsy. The bed was comfortable and end of the day that is the most critical part of any room. Hence the average rating.

The service in the hotel was good - prompt, attentive and polite. Infact I forgot some articles in the room and after checking out sent an email to the hotel, within a few hours they had found my items and informed me about it. This was excellent in terms of turnaround time and the seriousness with which they handled the situation. A special mention for Thanyapat U.the Housekeeping Officer who organized this for me.

The meal I had in the Erawan Tea House was the best Thai meal in Thailand so far. Excellent fresh food and good service - a must have meal. The breakfast buffet on the other hand was a complete disaster - the Suite entitled me to choose from the Club Floor buffet (less elaborate) or the main restaurant buffet - I tried both. The main restaurant food was unappetizing and some items were stale. The Club floor breakfast was a basic breakfast without warm items - except scrambled eggs.

The bars in the Lower Lobby seemed good, mostly full - did not get a chance to try them though.

I had arranged for a hotel pickup - the pickup was very efficient and seamless the airport representative met me at the belt and then took me to the porch where the car pulled up as we reached.

The concierge is excellent - super quick in making bookings and able to make all reservations required with no hassles.

All in all a well located hotel but in need for refurbishment. The food quality at breakfast also needs to be looked into.

Room Tip: High floor facing the city with a view of the hotel terrace pool.
