Although this is quite a characterless hotel, it is well run and very conveniently situated. Good breakfasts, helpful staff though we did find the drinks very expensive. However it is worth staying here for their excellent complimentary shopping companion service. We were lucky enough to have the very charming Nat (Protpinan from the concierge) and although he was only supposed to be with us for three hours he spent well over five hours guiding us around the chaos that is Bangkok. Thanks to him, we managed to find our way out of the weekend market, had a wonderful canal boat trip, ate some delicious street food and made our way back to the hotel by tuk tuk. He couldn't have looked us better and I would strongly recommend anyone asks for him if you are new to Bangkok like we were.

We stayed here because it was very good value for a 5 star hotel in Bangkok. It was ok, but if you're looking for something special this is definitely not it. I had previously stayed at the Mandarin Oriental and if you could afford it, the latter definitely wins. It has a much more special atmosphere on the river. The Banyan Tree pool is also quite small and not really appropriate for relaxing but rather for going for a quick dip. But all in all, for the price we paid, it was definitely good value for money.

Stayed here for one night with my wife after returning to Bangkok to await a flight home the next day. I wish we had more time here! The view wasn't great (we were low in the building and faced a busy street) but couldn't hear anything going on outside. The room itself was very nice with a comfortable modern look. There was a small antechamber with a desk and couch that was good for our computers and other stuff. The bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern.

We visited their Saffron restaurant to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Vertigo restaurant/bar. We were well rewarded. The atmosphere was quiet and much more intimate. The food was fabulous. Unfortunately the prices in the hotel are comparable with western standards (not thai standards) so get ready to pay for what you get. We did visit the vertigo bar at the end of the night. While the view is unreal there are tons of people up there so show up early to get a nice seat.

Room Tip: If you're leaving early in the morning they'll provide you a breakfast box for no charge. Ve...

I stayed at the Banyan Tree Bangkok while on a business trip. My suite was excellent and rather large for the price. The rooftop bar/restaurant was very good and I dined there several times (Miau, the hostess was amazing). The Thai restaurant was very pleasant as well. I would without hesitation recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

They really give good standard of service. Give great advice when comes to going to places of interest. The room is clean and nice view from the room. Customer Service is really good at this hotel. Transport is provided for going to Chatuchak the famous weekend market.

Amazing hotel, really stands out from the crowd.

We stayed for one night after travelling for nearly a day of connections from London, we were allowed to check in at 0930am without paying for early check in. Guests are welcomed with cooling flannels, drinks and fresh flower bracelets.

We booked a deluxe king room and were put on 47th floor. Fab room including a huge lounge area, separate bedroom and luxurious bathroom including high end bath salts, oils, foams and body lotion worthy of any 5* spa rather than the usual cheap and nasty toiletries.

There is a roof top swimming pool, sauna and steam room on the 21st floor with great views of Bangkok. So refreshing in such a crazy city. But the best views are to be found from the vertigo bar on 57th floor which is a classy neon lit open air cocktail bar or you could dine at the restaurant on the roof too. Vertigo is not the only high floored outside bar either, you can find the moon bar terrace on the 51st floor which is like a private garden in the sky, very unique.

We paid £108 for the night and would equate this stay/experience far exceeding in service and quality of any London hotel which wold cost minimum of £300 for the night.

Also banyan tree Bangkok offers an amazing breakfast including sparkling wine, western and Thai cuisine, fresh honeycomb, freshly cooked eggs any style including eggs benedict/florentine etc.......

The Service, helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff At the Banyan Tree Bangkok gave us a feeling of what it would be like to be royalty almost. If you ever want to experience what the REAL 5 Star service is like this is the place! The Room we got was perfect, a good size living area separate to a bedroom with large soft bed with a beautiful marble look bathroom with large full size bath and Shower with a closet. in both bedroom and living area was a glass wall that overlooks Bangkok, looks amazing at nyt.

The facilities were amazing, separate mens and womens Sauna & Steam Rooms, lovely pool and extremely well equipped GYM on the 21st Floor.
The Breakfast we got included in our Room Deal was more than enough to choose from! even had Champagne if you wanted and a chef waiting to cook your eggs how you wanted! I've actually never experienced a breakfast like the Banyan Tree! words couldn't actually explain how good it was and the variety in a beautiful atmosphere. we didn't have to eat again until Dinner time.

The SKY BAR and Restaurant is something you have to see! if you are in Bangkok,
The only DOWNSIDE is that even tho the meals were delicious be willing to pay real $$$$ to eat there, if you are not into spending $200 AU for just 400g Wagu Steak, i suggest maybe just to go to have a few Cocktails or the Vodka Martini was the best in Thailand we had even then expect to pay the average price of a good cocktail in Australia. BUT THE ATMOSPHERE IS WORTH IT.
