“Wonderful stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

We had a wonderful stay at the club suite. Rooms were modern, luxurious and spacious, with a huge king bed and bath tub. A coffee machine was provided and there were quite a variety of tea to choose from. Fruits were also given which was a nice touch.

From our room, we could see the swimming pool a floor below us. It looked small and crowded, so we did not venture there.

Staff were generally attentive and hospitable. Although we felt that our check-in took a bit longer than usual. However, the manager at the club lounge in particular was very helpful and accommodating, especially we had small kids with us.

The breakfast at the club lounge was excellent. We had also tried other restaurants on the property. Saffron's food was very good, but the service was not. My daughter was not feeling well and vomited. She made a mess, obviously it was not intentional. Yet, the staff showed us their black faces and were not very helpful in accommodating us and cleaning up. On the other hand, Taihei's food was okay, but the service was good. We went up to see Vertigo, it's a very nice roof top bar with views of the city, but was a bit too over-crowded for kids. So we decided not to wait for a table.

We tried the spa and the service and ambience were excellent. Although I felt my therapist's massage technique was so-so. My husband's therapist, on the other hand, was good. Overall the staff and the place makes you feel very relaxed.

Location to the shopping places is not near. You'd have to take a taxi, and it takes awhile to get anywhere as Bangkok's traffic is horrendous. This is the main drawback of the hotel, otherwise I would not hesitate to stay here again. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Room Tip: Stay in the club rooms, you won't regret it.

We had a great time staying in this hotel! The premier room was lovely and spacious and the hotel location was very central - close to public transport, the night markets and Siam Sqaure. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. We went for drinks on the rooftop bar every evening either before or after being out - the views are stunning and it feels like you are a celebrity sitting up there! We also ate in one of the restaurants down the stairs (due to availability) which was nice but slightly lacking in atmosphere. We didn't use the pool but can't fault any other part of our stay at the hotel!

Room Tip: Go for drinks on at the rooftop bar!

A great hotel. Service excellent and 1 bed suite amazing. Club lounge breakfast very good and the staff very willing to help plan your day and help with restaurant recommendations. The only draw back is the pool which is very small for a hotel with 59 floors and sadly the Moon Bar was under renovations whilst we were there...otherwise I would have given it a 5 out of 5.

Room Tip: The one bed suite is huge. 3 rooms with 2 TVs. Enormous bathroom and 2 wardrobes. We also got some f...

This is a beautiful hotel. We had a Premier room which was spacious and well designed. Where this hotel is let down is its pool and sunlounger area. If you are looking for a city hotel with a big tropical pool and nice grounds to relax in, this is not for you. The BT's pool is small, sleek with a handful of loungers dotted round.

We have stayed at several Banyan Tree resort hotels throughout Asia and we have never been disappointed, but our recent stay at the Bangkok property exceeded our already high expectations. I know this sounds excessive, but we have never encountered a friendlier, more helpful and attentive staff than at this hotel. And that includes everyone we met whether in the restaurants, the front desk, the bell boys, the housekeeping team... everywhere.

If you want a truly breathtaking treat, book a table at the Vertigo restaurant on the rooftop of this 62 floor hotel. Absolutely amazing 360 degree view of the entire city. It's difficult to express how stunning this view and dinner setting really is. Then, to top it off, head down a few floors to the outdoor bar located just outside their signature Saffron restaurant. I don't recall the name of the bar, but it's located in the huge "hole" in the building. Again, incredible views and with a pleasant breeze to make it even more relaxing.

All in all, one of the most wonderful hotel experiences we've had anywhere in the world. Thanks, Banyan Tree Bangkok team!

Room Tip: We had a one-bedroom suite which was a perfect size for a stay of more than one night.

This is the best hotel bar none I have ever stopped in, we were in a suit on floor 23, we had our own special lobby, amazing views, amazing staff, amazing bars on roof etc, the whol thing was just amazing luxury and for our time there we were made to feel like movie stars, even th breakfast bar is amazing.. I would recommend this place even if it meant selling an arm, when we go back this hotel is our deco choice

Room Tip: Try and get a suit, over looking the city and the pool
