I was expecting the Peninsula Bangkok to be a great hotel, but it was even better than I had imagined. The hotel itself is very pretty and clean. Cleanliness is my number one priority when staying in hotels. The service is beyond excellent. And the food is delicious. A daily buffet breakfast was included. I expected boxed cereal and some danishes, but the spread was a surprise that was more than just pleasant. The room was a perfect size and the bed was comfortable. Great bathtub as well. Fresh fruit was provided in my room daily which was nice. I did use the gym, and again, very clean and great service. I would definitely stay here again and HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone!!

We stayed at the Peninsula as the first stop on our Thailand honeymoon. Peninsula made sure that we had an unforgettable experience from the time of check-in to the minute we left Bangkok. When we arrived, we were taken up to our room (upgraded to an amazing suite) where champagne, fruit and chocolates were waiting for us. During our stay, the concierge and other staff made sure that no question went unanswered or need unmet. The location was perfect -- right on the river, with views of the Mandarin and other buildings. We waited no longer than a few minutes at any time for the boat, which took us pretty much anywhere we wanted to go. The rooms are a techie's dream -- ipod hook-up, remote control that rotated the TV, touch-button lights, window shades, etc. This was absolutely the best city hotel we've ever stayed in.

Situated on the bank of the river, The Peninsula, is the perfect destination for Business meetings and relaxed evenings. The rooms are specious with best of amanities available. All rooms are facing river so that one can view the golden water spread everywhere in the evenings. The boat fery service is very good and takes us to skytrain station and taxi stand. The riverside restaurent serves excelent food. One can spend a lavish weekend in the hotel.

We really love this hotel as the service is outstanding & the standard of the rooms are excellent. We have stayed at the Peninsula before & having to attend a conference in town we thought why not pamper ourselves again at the Peninsula.

Check in – We arrived on time & checked in without any hiccups. The staff were as usual fast, friendly & efficient.

Room – On entry to our grand deluxe balcony room we were reminded how pleasant this hotel is with its beautiful views of the busy Chao Praya River.

We also love how the hotel provides a platter of fresh exotic fruits on arrival. The turn down service is again a reminder of how fabulous the professional service is at the Peninsula.

The best aspect of our room was the space & comfort with the extra walk-in luggage closets & large outside balcony.

Bathroom – Absolutely gorgeous with huge vanity units & granite tiles.

Restaurants – We only tried the Cantonese Mei Jiang restaurant which was delicious although a little pricey & the outdoor Thai restaurant which again was excellent.

Spa – We enjoyed a spa package which included a full body exfoliation & body massage which was heavenly. The staff were very competent & professional.

Swimming Pool - The pool is divine with cabanas & views of the river. A fabulous little spot to relax & unwind with a glass of vino!

We didn’t use the hotel ferry this time as we had a driver which was a blessing – as its not fun driving in busy Bangkok!

Overall: We will return again as our whole Peninsula experience was delightful.
