“Exceptional!!!”
Reviewed June 24, 2014

We arrived here late at night and were greeted so warmly you would have thought they were dear friends who had waited up in anticipation of our arrival. That experience set the tone for our entire visit. We made our way around Bangkok mostly on foot so at the end of the day were we absolutely wiped out from the noise, heat, humidity and exhaust fumes so to arrive back at the Peninsula was like returning to a glorious oasis...a calm, peaceful atmosphere. It isn't the most centrally located but we made it work with water taxis etc. don't miss the breakfast! The perfect start to a crazy day of wandering around Bangkok! Delicious!

We stayed at the Peninsula on our arrival in Thailand. We are a family of 5 and had adjoining rooms on a high floor. The rooms were large and updated with incredible views. Service throughout the hotel was excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and dinner at the Chinese restaurant which was delicious. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Beautiful property with amazing restaurants , fantastic breakfast and a pool where you can spend the whole day!!!!! Is always a cab ride to the city centre but thats ok. The staff is extremely good always addressing you by your last name... Children are very well taken care of.

On par with the rest of the brand this hotel offers amazing service. A very personable service. Every member of staff is very tentative.

One downside is the pool. It's a little lack however the spa is exceptional.

The hotel however is located a little far from the city, if you are travelling by car it's a bit of a journey however the hotel does have a free boat service every few minutes to the sky train which is a great touch.

Really liked this hotel and would strongly recommend it.

We stayed at the Peninsula for one night at the very end of our honeymoon. We stayed in some amazing hotels during our trip and, while the Peninsula was quite nice overall, the room itself was beginning to show its age. Nevertheless, we had a good stay and had no real complaints. We booked through the AmEx FHL program, which included a delicious and diverse buffet dinner by the river. The next morning, we thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast as well (the best we had on our trip!), though there was a 15 minute or so wait for a table inside since all the guests were trying to escape the scorching heat. We didn't actually spend much time at the hotel since we arrived around 7pm and left for a tour around the city by 10am the next day. We particularly appreciated that the hotel let us use the gym facilities to shower before we went to the airport that evening. Overall, we would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, professionally-staffed place to stay in Bangkok.

Everything about The Peninsula is perfect.

Perfect, friendly service. Wonderful food. Beautiful gardens. Fantastic pool.

I can imagine going to Bangkok just to stay here.

For example, when you arrive through the gardens to the 3-tiered pool, water is brought straight to you (whether you are in the pool or in a cabana). Your drinks order is delivered with snacks and crudités, and periodically the pool waiter brings around little ice creams for everyone. Poolside meals are served like silver service, and everyone is smiling and laughing.

Their pretty house boat runs across the river just for you whenever you need to go out.

We chose an upper river view room with a grand balcony. You can sit out on your balcony above the river and watch the life of Bangkok below you.

Superb, world class hotel.

Room Tip: Grand balcony room over the river.

Everything about this place is perfect. They even have their own house boat to take you across the river to the sky train. I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best breakfast spread I've ever seen in my life. Set your alarm early and go to town. The management and staff were superb. This is a world class hotel
