We stayed in the Athenee Suite, my husband, baby and i. The room was very clean and we liked how we had a separate tv room from the bedroom. They had a proper wooden cot as requested.
There were two bathrooms, one main one and one guest bathroom by the front door.
The room was always clean and we were always welcomed with a little chocolate treat on the table in the evening.

The staff were very helpful to wash our baby bottles and brought them back up to us when it was needed.

They were also able to help cook certain foods for our baby as per our request (ie. no sugar, salt, etc.) and to keep in fridge and reheat if unfinished.

Dining on ground floor with the buffet breakfast and lunch was nice. Lots of food choices and not just thai options. Definitely suggest people to join SPG if they're not an SPG member. If you're SPG, you can get a discount in food and rooms.

Overall, great hygiene, great location, staff were very helpful, would come back again

My Wife, Daughter and I enjoyed four nights at this hotel in August. We had adjacent rooms which both had king sized beds. The rooms were a good size, tastefully decorated and with very good blackout curtains to Ensure a good sleep in. The bathrooms were also a good size with nice toiletries. There was even a hairdryer with a diffuser. The pool is very nice and surrounded by lush greenery making it feel a little like an oasis. The gym is a good size and very well equipped. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the offering was substantial and beautifully presented. Above all it was the service that made this hotel standout. Everyone was very friendly at every occasion and nothing seemed to be to much trouble. The hotel is very conveniently located close to PloenChit BTS and there were shopping Malls within easy striking distance either by for or train. A great hotel which my Daughter will happily stay at anytime she gets the opportunity.

Stayed at the plaza Athenee Bangkok for two nights to attend a conference.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Facilities were very good.
Staff were also very friendly in typical Thai style.
View from the 23rd floor of the city was also good at night.
Definitely recommended.

Longest check-in I have yet experienced; including not having a standard room ready for platinum guests. The wines in the club lounge were between awful and ok-ish. They really should ensure that no vinegar is being poured, snackwise they had the usual type of canapé set-up. Swimming pool has a nice feel to it but the pricing for food and drinks is off. For medium quality sate and orange juice you end up paying the same as for great main courses at the best riverside Thai restaurants. I understand the concept of a captive audience but it will not kill you to make them loyal first.

Room tip: Go to another hotel, plenty of better options in Bangkok

Dear jepsman,

Firstly, on behalf of the entire team of the Plaza Athenee Bangkok, A Royal Meridien Hotel, I would like to apologise for the inconvenience that you had experienced and I would like to assure you this is not our normal service standard especially towards loyal Platinum members such as yourself.

Your comments on our club offerings and pricing of our food & beverages has been well taken note of and we would most definitely look into these areas to further enhance our guest offerings. We are however glad that you enjoyed the atmosphere of our lagoon-styled swimming.

Once again, I sincerely apologise for your experience and sincerely hope that you would not judge us solely on this occasion and would consider staying with us in the Plaza Athenee Bangkok, A Royal Meridien Hotel during your next visit to Bangkok.

Kind Regards,
Gilles Evrard
