I agree with JB's review it is a great base to stay in Bangkok, the river ferry is just outside which takes you to the grandpalace. There is anaother one which takes you across the river. Everything is on tap the Thai restaurant is briliant and the breakfast has to be seen to be believed. The pool area is very good when you have done with sightseeing. I would definately stay there again, it was good value too. I had a skirt made in the shop which came quickly and was excellent.

This hotel is just what you need after a long flight to recharge batteries. It's also in an excellent location on the river and is an ideal base for exploring the city. There's a boat pier right outside and also a free hotel boat to the nearest sky train stop.

It's comfortable, clean, well air conditioned and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is lovely and there's an excellent Thai restaurant. The swimming pool has a great view over the river, as did our room.

Although you can receive out-standing service throughout the continent of Asia, I found that the Royal Orchid has set the highest standard for satisfying it's customers. Great food, entertainment, relaxation, view and your very own butler...

We stay 4 nights & got a free upgrade to their premium floor. The view was amazing over looking the river. Our room was complete luxury!
Friendly staff, great restaruant & bar!
After a lovely Thai dinner in the restaurant, go down to the outside bar/lounge & watch the boats go by along the river.......
Not cheap, but well worth splashing out!

We are Thai and used complimentary Starwood Privilege coupon for one night stay at Royal Orchid Sheraton. What to say, everything is impeccable from the check in moment, to cleanliness of the room, service at the restaurant especially garden pool. You will wow to see peacock in the garden while swimming by the river. Renovated terrace is perfect and can make you feel like staying in the resort rather than city hotel. Guy saying good morning and advice where is breakfast at elevator landing create good start of the day. We always stay in Bangkok city hotel, Royal Orchid is the best for breakfast and the choice of seat by the river. We still got some more complimentary voucher bought and of course will stay at Royal Orchid again when weekend to recharge our life by the river...
