Massive hotel in a great location! Everything you need here. Rooms were clean and comfy. Great pools and the ferry boat for guest was great. Didn't eat within the hotel as it seemed a bit pricey for our family, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay :-)

This is a true 5 star hotel located right on the river which bisects Bangkok. The hotel is 25+ stories high, and all the rooms face the river. The lobby is nice, and the rooms were spacious and elegant. We were only here one afternoon and evening, and left at 3 AM the next morning, so we didn't use any of the restaurants, or other services.

The view is fabulous, and you can catch a water shuttle to restaurants across the river, or a water taxi, or buy a ticket on the tourist boat which goes up and down the river continually, and stops near many of the major attractions. There is also a mall right next door, with 6-8 restaurants at lower price ranges than the restaurants in the hotel...very handy.

There are probably 7-8 hotels nearby on the river, so there is a lot of tourism, restaurants and people speaking English in this area....making the Sheraton a fine place to base a stay in Bangkok.

Room Tip: Higher is better.

This is one of the best hotels on Chao Praya River. Proximity to Rivergate Mall and the Ferry Boat is a a benefit to guests. Good value and certainly gives the most for your money. Stayed in the hotel in February 2014.

Room Tip: Get a high floor and possibly one on the front of the river which gives you a view of both ends.

Stayed here for 3 nights in March 2014

Beautiful hotel, decent location, around 20 mins tuk tuk to Koh San Road, and 15 mins to MBK Centre.

Two swimming pools and sauna, poolside food and drink made this the perfect place to lounge during the day. There is a nice breeze from the river, which helps during the mid afternoon soon.
The rooms are massive, with a great view of the river. Our bed was huge, and extremely comfortable with a choice of pillows.
For the price we paid, this was an absolute bargain, would definitely return!

We arrived in Bangkok on Monday 24th March very tired from a long flight and I have to say this hotel was the perfect antidote. We had a room on the 16th floor with a view of the river which was stunning but there was perfect peace and quiet. The room was clean and extremely well appointed, house keeping was efficient and very flexible allowing us to have a couple of hours sleep on our arrival.

Breakfast was extensive but a little crowded but we didn't use the restaurants in the evening. We loved the pools which were really welcome after sight seeing or shopping and location was perfect with the excellent shuttle boat that takes you to the Skytrain station.

Dining options around the hotel are a bit limited and unless you have local knowledge finding somewhere to eat in the city centre is surprisingly difficult. Overall for a couple of nights stay in Bangkok you cannot go wrong with this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view

Was there in this wonderful hotel for two day in April first week! Its lovely place situated right on the river . The rooms are nice and spacious -- the entire place is very well maintained and the staff are courteous . The breakfast is very good but the place is very crowded around the layout so its sometimes difficult to get the re fill !!
The ferry service to nearest BRT is an excellent idea but wish they run it till a bit latter in night .

There is no Night life around the place - so for people who are looking for that shouldn't be here .
But a very nice place for family and would definitely recommend .

I stayed on the 21st floor. Brilliant view of the river. Rooms are well maintained and clean. Comfortable bed. Internet is free. Not too many english channels to watch if you are a TV buff. Spa on the 3rd floor is very good. Gymnasium is well equipped and good. I dined at the thai restaurant and it was good. The coffee shop as well as breakfast spread was good. Airport pick up and drop is managed by a limo supervisor. Overall could not find a fault.

Room Tip: higher floors arebetter and give you a good view.
