very friendly service, nice staff. Good, quite location at the river without being far from shopping and night life.

An oasis in chaotic Bangkok. Stayed here for 4 nights in November.
The moment i stepped into the lobby, the high ceilings & beautiful sculptures took my breath away. Tasteful music played in the background, creating a kind of zen & serenity.
My room on the 25th floor was a haven which I didn't want to leave. The room was tastefully decorated & in a deep shade of green with flower motifs on the wall. Large floor length bay windows provided a gorgeous view of the mighty Chao Praya river, especially breath-taking by nite. Everything was tucked away neatly, with the safe installed in a drawer in the tv console. A desk was provided for working on the laptop.
A coffee maker was provided as well as the usual kettle. A nice compliment of coffees & teas, & this being Thailand, even condoms(!!) were provided! I fell in love with the spacious bathroom which comes with a glass enclosed separate shower stall with a rain shower!! The tub was deep & large enough for two. Complimentary toiletries were generous.
One of the negatives was the Breakfast buffet, although with a variety of local & western, it hardly changed in menu in the 4 days I stayed. Tasty, yes, but could have changed the menu abit everyday.
Other negative was the high & separat charges for wireless & LAN connection for Internet access.
Other than that, it was a wonderful experience staying there, not forgetting the wonderful concierge & service we received throUghout.

Every time I go to Bangkok (at least twice a year) I stay at the Royal Orchid Sheraton at the Chao Phraya river. I have tried a few other hotels of the same category in Bangkok, but the Royal Orchid Sheraton gives me the best combination of holiday atmosphere and proximity to the city center. Overlooking the river and the city from my room, or relaxing outside at the pool at the riverside, enjoying the fabulous breakfast buffet, or dining in the exceptional Thai restaurant - it all comes together to make my stay a joyful experience. I don't need to mention the spacious rooms and the near perfect service which are expected in this category. I always look forward to return to this hotel and can recommend it without hesitation.

This was a very clean and comfortable hotel with good facilities including a riverside pool and several places to eat. The lobby is pleasant with Thai music usually being performed and beautiful floral displays .On arrival we were greeted with charming staff, drinks, refreshing wipes and strands of flowers to hang in our rooms. At all times, the service was outstanding. Most rooms have a great view of the river. It is in a good location so that one can walk to many places nearby (in the cool roomsf the evening is the best time) or take the water buses that dock by the hotel. It is possible to have a suit made in 24 hours and a massage (no, not a dodgy one necessarily!) any time of the day or night. The food was OK with a wide range of buffet items for breakfast and lunch plus a good in-room dining menu.
