Location's ok and u can get wherever u want by hiring a speed boat (come on guys! u're travelling and u have to splurge a little! Being a Scrooge only spoils ur travel ! It's also the fastest way to go inside the city ) / View is great / Hotel pool's ok / They have free shuttle service to their sister hotel around the day and also a free service to Asiatique the Riverfront night bazaar ( Don't miss it , a must-do ) / Yes, room was a little tired, but view overshadowed it and considering what we paid, it was super fine! ( room was always clean and spotless) / Nice hot shower , spotless tub / Breakfast was plentiful and the taste couldn't be better ( we went to Banyan Tree for a breakfast and they weren't much better - Though their Vertigo Grill & Moon Bar is to die for !) / Who says staff in Montien Riverside isn't efficient ? They helped us book a nice day tour to Ayutthaya with competitive price and all was handy when we needed anything / All in all , we had a very pleasant stay in this hotel and will be back for a 2-night stop over next year when we'll be heading to Samui .

big hotel with alot of rooms. Beautiful riverside view but this hotel is not luxury much. I don't like their buffet, not much dish to taste. I have a rainny night so this hotel quitely boring. We only have a drink in bar with live boring music.

We stayed here 3 nights sept 11 2012,paid for a package which included a very tired corner room with view over a swamp and this package also included "club" facilities, however; when we went to use the "club" it was just another room to drink tea or coffee. You can imagine our disappointment at this as we had the idea the " Club" would have had snacks and drinks during the day. We spoke to the catering executive manager and asked what indeed we had paid for; to be told that the "club" was simply a meeting point for business, we however were not told this at the time of booking, we were then offered a meal for two in the "cafe" restaurant. We decided it would be rude not to take the manager up on his offer, only to be further embarrased when we explained we were there at the bequest of the catering manager, all menu's were then removed from the table and then replaced with a special's menu of which the Manager and waiter of the restaurant in view of other diners informed us we could only have one meal; which was chicken and rice. Due to this embarrising situation we declined their offer and left the restaurant. Our advice do not book this hotel, as there are far better hotel's in BKK and with far better service, we have no intention of ever staying at this hotel again, so you have been warned of the service you can expect.

Room Tip: There are no good room's.

Dear lolly57_11,

Thank you for your comments about our hotel's facilities and services during your recent stay at the Montien Riverside Hotel, Bangkok.

We wish to explain that you had paid for our special package at B2574 net per night for one Deluxe Corner room for 2 persons including breakfasts and Internet access for 2 nights. We have only one Deluxe Corner room on each floor of our hotel which overlooks the river.

You had paid Baht 3,900 net for your 3rd night stay which included breakfasts and Internet access as well. You had then asked our Director of Sales and Marketing if you could have some additional benefits and he decided to offer you the use of our Club C Lounge. He had also decided to offer you our signature Montien Chicken rice meal at our Cafe restaurant. He informed our Guest Relations Manager to advise our Cafe service staff to receive you and offer you the Montien Chicken rice.

We wish to add that we value the patronage of all our guests and we will always endeavour to provide the best services to all our guests once they have checked into our hotel.

We sincerely regret that you have not been satisfied with our hotel's facilities and services. We hope that you will give us another opportunity to be of service to you. Please contact me when you have decided on your next visit to Bangkok so that we can offer you some additional benefits to make your stay more pleasant and comfortable. I look forward to personally welcome you back to our hotel.

Yours sincerely,
ANDREW LOW

I stayed in Montien Riverside during September 2012 for 2 nights. The hotel fittings were looking old, hotel rooms are OK but the television is a tell tale sign of the age of the hotel. That aside, the service of the staffs were considered good by my standards, while not far exceeding expectation, I would consider them meeting my expectation. A small amount of money would have given you access to their WIFI which is important for those who are on business trip. The hotel breakfast has a good spread which would suit the taste buds of the travellers. Tried their massage which was OK, not as good as those traditional ones out there though. Besides that, I can't really fault them for the price per night was really reasonable.

i stayed in this hotel for 4 nights from 5th september to 9 th . the hotel rooms r big but they r old the hotel use normal keys for opening the room and if the key is lost by u u have to pay 500 baht for the key.
the lobby is very big and they play live band in the night in there resteurant in the night the floors on th higher floor give the good view of the river but the only draw back which i felt the hotel really on the outside of the city if u want to go to the city for some shopping it takes almost 45 minutes and taxi meter charges 200 baht one way the tea coffee maker in the room is really old one and could say the hotel need some kind of update to meet the new standard.
if u want to stay ousiide teh city its a good property but if u want to move out and enjoy city night life u have to travel a lot in taxi then.

Room Tip: rooms on the higher floor has a great view

I have stayed here once before with my partner and decided on my second trip to Thailand (taking my mum) that I had to go back.

We stayed in a lovely deluxe suite on the 20th floor facing the river. The staff were very welcoming and although some of their english isn't brilliant it is certainly better than my Thai!!

We spent two nights here just to experience Bangkok. This hotel is not situated in Bangkok, but approx 15mins away, which I think is ideal as Bangkok is such a loud, busy city its nice to drive away to a sanctuary of peace near the river.

The hotel offer a free shuttle to their sister hotel in Bangkok, so travelling into Bangkok is free and the hotel will come pick you up again when you are finished.

A special mention must be made for the manager George, he was so kind to us and gave such good, personal service he made our stay wonderful and we will be back again.

Stayed in this hotel November 2011 for a wedding wich was held there, great and very luxureous place to stay. Would definitely recommend it for other travellers, perfect service ! The breakfast is really splendid, for asian people as well as for eruopeans. The swimming pool is good as well, gets a bit windy but this is positive for warm Bangkok ! The staff is very helpfull and willing to help you out with wathever question you have !
