“lovely stay”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

Hotel staff lovely, very accommodating! Let us check in early. Enjoyed nice orange arrival drink. Paid to upgrade, which meant we had a bigger room and free drinks between set hours. Bar very nice. Free drinks were set to beer and white/red wine. Staff very friendly at bar. Bedroom on 11th floor overlooking pool and building work across the road. Massive bed. Breakfast was good, nice selection (mixture European and Thai), some things I'd miss, fresh made omelets - very nice. Would stay again, very good value for money!

Nice hotel, if a little bit shabby in places, with good sized rooms and a nice 3rd floor pool. Staff friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is good. Located 250mtrs off Sukumvit Road in an area full of market stalls, good street food and a wide selection of restaurants and cafes. Nana Station is the nearest on the sky train , located 150mtrs east on Sukumvit Road, so easy to get to.

Room Tip: The higher the room the better the city at night view!

Stayed 2 nights. Location great, very close to main road with Nana train station, plenty of places to eat and access to massages etc. Hotel located in little side street, perfect to escape a bit of the noise. There is construction going on next to the Hotel, however, we did not hear it. 1min walk down the road is a large supermarket where you can get everything you need and breakfast as well!
Rooms are clean, large and mostly modern. Bathrooms clean but a little dated. Beds are quite hard but bearable for 2 nights. Hotel staff are very helpful. Wifi good but a little slow.
The Nana train station gives you easy access (4 stops) to BKM shopping mall, a worthwhile trip.
Overall the hotel is great for location and cleanliness, would come back!

we stayed in Belaire for 6 days at the beginning of our honeymoon in Thailand. The hotel was excellent location close to NANA skytrain which gives full access to bangkok and all it has to offer. The staff in the hotel extremely helpful and friendly and although always very busy still had time to be polite and courteous to the guests and they made an extra effort as it was our honeymoon, each day we had a different little gift left in our bedroom. The room was a great size with the amendities that you need the bathroom again a good size. It was clean and comfortable and after all in Bangkok you are going to want to see about rather than sit in a hotel room. If was frequented by middle eastern families who unfortunately are not the most friendly or polite of people but again the staff went out of their way to keep them happy. The area its self is not a red light district as mentioned in other blogs but as in everywhere in Bangkok if you look close enough you will find this sort of thing going on but definately not in your face nor intrusive. Would definately recommend this hotel as a central base for staying in Bangkok.

Dear Guest,

Good day!

We are all fully delighted to know that you had a wonderful stay with us at BelAire Bangkok. Your comments through TripAdvisor are highly appreciated. I have shared these comments with my Team and they feel well-encouraged.

Indeed our hotel is ideally located in Sukhumvit Soi 5, just walking distance to Nana BTS SKytrain station; McDonald's, Starbucks in the corner of the street; Foodland 24-hour grocery store; and 711 just a stones-throw away from our doorstep.

Thank you for giving your thumbs up to our facilities and services. We all look forward to welcoming you back on your next holiday in Bangkok!

Warm regards,

This was a return visit to the Bel-Aire and will probably be the last. I booked the Advance package direct on-line with the hotel for 3 nights from the 16th Jan. Positives: Deluxe room is huge with comfy beds, complimentary tea/coffee etc., newspaper and fruits (not refreshed every day, the one overripe banana we left on the first day kept making an appearance!); staff very friendly and breakfast selection was fine; good location with the airport only 30 mins. by taxi in the early morning and some cheap and good food stalls only a few minutes’ walk away. Negatives: this hotel is in desperate need of TLC. The furniture is worn and the bathrooms are absolutely awful. For the money we paid there are newer and more contemporary hotels in Bangkok to choose from so the Bel-Aire really needs to up their game. Yes, there is building work going on in the vicinity but as we had a room overlooking the pool, the noise was minimal and our request for a non-smoking room was met with no problem.

We stayed at the Belaire for 5 nights and it was ideally located for the sky train and access to the sights and sounds of Bangkok.
Before our visit I had been concerned by other reviews suggesting that staff had been unhelpful and in some cases rude. This was certainly not our experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we were greeted with smiles at every meeting. The hotel itself is looking a little tired but it was clean and tidy. Breakfast selection was good. We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel because we were loving the street food.
We would stay here again!
