“Two nights at the Princess”
Reviewed November 6, 2008

I was really impressed with the Dusit Princess. Nothing extra special to look at from the outside. But really comfortable inside.
Dusit hotels in Thailand are usually quite up market, this hotel caters more for the buisness cliental as its not that far from the airport, approx 20 minutes.
Its situated right next door to Seacon Square (one of the largest shopping complexes in Bangkok so very handy for some good shopping. It is a long way out of town, so for the general tourist I would probably not reccomened, but for a short stop over or transit fantastic.
Good price we picked up for around 3400 bht a night i think. A number of restruants, though we ate in the chinese one only, and the dining area which serves breakfast.
The first thing that impressed me was we arrived from a domestic flight at approx 8am at the Hotel and they checked us in straight away, and we even then went down stairs and had breakfast.
Rooms where a good size, very comfortable, could not fault them.
Service was great by all staff.
They had quite a nice pool area which we did not use.
Certainly reccomened Dusit Princess, again not a Resort Hotel, but very nice and I think quite reasonably priced.

The Dusit Princess Hotel is located out of the city center of bangkok. But it is just next to a big shopping mall where guests can come to have a meal and do some last minute shopping before going to airport to catch a flight.

The hotel has an excellent high speed internet access at a very reasonable rates. The room is also very nice and big with a posh couch and very comfortable bed. They also provide guests with ice cubes delivered to the room every day. The staff is also very polite and very prompt in providing the guests needs.

The restaurant is also very nicely located, with a big glass window facing the pool. But there is not much to do at night because there is no bar and 24 hour coffee shop where guest can hang out. It does not have access to the metro. But there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel.

Stayed here one night as I arrived in Bangkok late, and then had to catch an early flight the next morning. Easy to get to by taxi (about 20 mins from airport). Reception staff were very friendly. Room and ensuite were very spacious. They also provided fresh fruit, water etc. TV had english-speaking channels. A good place to stay if you need to be close to the airport.

I had my last night in Bangkok at this hotel as I had an early morning flight and I liked the proximity to the airport. To my delight I was upgraded to a suite which was very well appointed with a bath and separate shower and a dressing room. I ate dinner in the restaurant and the staff couldn't do enough for me as it was practically empty. A couple of drinks in the bar listening to a duo followed. Unfortunately I had to leave before breakfast but would consider staying again.

I had a one night stopover and needed somewhere close to the airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful and there is a huge shopping centre next door. I also tried the gym (smallish) and the large pool which was very refreshing. Overall excellent value and I spent ages channel hopping as I couldn't sleep and there were plenty of channels to choose from!

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel after reading positive reviews on the TA and it's near my business partner's office. I am spending my last night for a 5-day business trip. The location is great for business people as it's along the highway to major industrial areas. I arrived at nearly 3pm and checked in was a breeze. The Deluxe room is of good size, very comfy looking King size bed, a settee with welcome local fruit basket on the table, which I finished. The amenities in the room are adequate, 2 pairs of slippers, bath robe and good quality toiletries. There're 2 complimentary drinking water everyday plus a complementary mineral water at bedside everynight. There's a small tea/coffee making facility. There's a turn down service every night. The staff service is prompt, courteous and uninstrusive. The only complaint I have is their pillows are way too soft, and I actually had an aching neck the next day.

The breakfast is served at the Square One, which a nice selection of Chinese, Japanese, Thai and American style dishes, and changes everyday. The Japanese restaurant Miyuki offers decent Japenese food and quite reasonable price. Have tried the room service twice, just so-so.

The hotel has a decent looking pool (which I never tried), and a gym (which I tried), it's not your fee-paying fitness club standard, but well maintained with a few fitness instructors to guide you and towels are complimentary. There's a sauna and steam room as well.

This hotel is just a hop to the Seacon Mall, where one can find a Tesco supermarket where you can stock up the minifridge with drinks and cheap snacks. It also offers a good selection of restaurants there as well. Compared to the Novotel Bangna which is further down the road, it's older and abit dated, but nonetheless, it's a very comfy hotel, well maintained, near to a mall. I have no qualms returning to it due to its location for my business needs and its quality.

We stayed here for one night between flights in Thailand and were attracted by it's proximity to the airport (about half an hour, but a bit more at rush hour times) and the fact that it is next door to a large mall (Seacon).

Everything was great, only make sure you book a non-smoking room, as one of ours was not and you could definitely smell the difference in the room, and even on the whole floor.
