Not very close to the centre, but easy taxi drive up and down. A great breakfast with good Thai alterntives to full continental. Swimming pool was often very full and noisy. No good bar facility with exception of the lobby. Staff provides good service. Easy to sleep and work out the jetlag.

We booked this hotel for two nights when we were arriving in Bangkok, wanting to treat ourselves near the end of our trip.
I've rated this average simply because it is a four star hotel, and after staying in all kinds of places all around the world, our expectations were pretty high.
When we checked in (we had paid more money to specify the garden view), they gave us a different room without even telling us. When we brought it up they called it an upgrade (I really don't think it was...)
The pool was great, and the room was clean enough, (except for the mold in the bathtub), a fairly decent size, and the bed sheets were actually excellent... but there were quite a few noticeable details that one would expect even a hostel could get straight.
We were shocked that there was only 1 hour of free wifi available for our entire stay (they wouldn't even give us another hour for the second day?!), and the food at the Princess Cafe was so horrible that I actually couldn't eat it and sent it back (and I was so hungry after a 10 hour bus ride that I could have eaten almost anything). The lovely waiter did acknowledge this however, and took it off the bill... but I did go to bed hungry that night.

Maybe it was because we don't look like their typical business clientèle, and they aren't used to people who actually use their own money to treat themselves to a four star establishment.. but we were basically made to feel like outcasts the whole time we were there. (however, the doorman was very nice, and helpful!)

I reckon they could use a brush up on the standard of service expected for a four star hotel in the city of Bangkok!

Room Tip: probably doesn't matter, because they'll likely change it anyway!

We stayed here for two nights when first arriving in Bangkok. Rooms were clean and large. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Pool was beautiful and not many guest in there. We used the hotels vans for day trips and were very happy as they were comfortable and friendly.
Free shuttle to MBK and only 90 baht for return taxi. It was a beautiful haven from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.

I stayed here while working at the UN in Bangkok in November and was satisfied on all counts. When traveling for business I need basically three things: convenience, a good breakfast and powerful wifi. This place had all three of these down, no problems whatsoever.

The room was very large, with a big, soft bed and a nice desk area set away from the rest of the room, which was perfect for working when I returned to the hotel. The room also had a little balcony overlooking the pool area, though I never really used it--anyway it looked a bit too small to enjoy comfortably, though they did put two chairs out there somehow.

Breakfast was the highlight for me. There was a massive buffet with dozens and dozens of hot options, plenty of fruit, a great salad bar, and for me, tons of vegetarian items. Ideal in every way. The hotel lobby had some decent food on the menu, too. We ate there once or twice and weren't let down. The lobby is also comfortable enough for drinks, with decent prices. It's not a glorious place, but totally comfortable.

The pool was also fine, not crowded. Swam in it once and was happy, though it was definitely cold.

The staff was fine, and check in/out was painless. Calling taxis does seem to take an eternity, though, and I definitely think they need to work on their taxi situation. It was always disorganized and unclear what was going on or whom to talk to. Long wait for taxis. This hotel also isn't tremendously convenient for the BTS. You can get to it, but it's just not perfectly convenient.

Would definitely stay here again and very likely will.

The best part is, this hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok streets, yet not too far from main shopping centers. The hotel is blessed with the spiritual aura of an ancient Buddha temple and greenery a rarity in Bangkok., Hotel staff are pleasant and helpful. Hotel is bright with sun light during the day and illumination in the night. Hotel serves excellent cocktails, juices and food. Rooms are bright, large with a balcony, well kept carpets and good amenities.
With good work table, wire less internet connection, serene environs, the hotel is best in Bangkok, if you are on a business visit.

Room Tip: Chose a top floor room with a temple view
