Booked over the net and got a double upgrade: river view and high floor (that means 57th floor, the "low" rooms being between the 35th and 40th). Check-in was done in the the suite, the view from the balcony was amazing (they actually make you sign a "balcony policy" sheet before unlocking the doors for you), the bathroom was just terrific, basically everything was up to a 5-star hotel level.
Try the bar on the roof, especially at dawn when you can still access the one on the corner of the roof, i.e. the one they show the photos of on their website. We came back for a drink on our second night at around midnight and by then this one was closed and they used a smaller and more cramped one instead, on another part of the roof. The cocktails are lovely, wherever they serve them. Breakfast was excellent.
Only negative point was that here was no second TV in the living room area, which is weird for a 60 m2 suite. Business center hours on the week-end were not very convenient either, they only opened at 9am.
Location is good, a 5 mns walk from the Skytrain and the main river boat station, if you need a taxi the concierge makes sure they put the meter on, so you're sure to get a hassle-free ride.

We got a great deal off the internet and just loved the hotel. This is a business location but is near the SkyTrain station and the river (with the water taxi). East to get anywhere with taxis (must say "meter please") in the evening but traffic can be horrible in late afternoon. The hotel staff is simply the best I have experienced anywhere! They really take care of you. The rooms are large suites and one of the few places with a balcony - we loved standing outside and watch the city come alive in the morning and the sunset at night. The restaurants are gorgeous, if a little expensive- you get what you pay for! The view is to die for- go for a cocktail at least. The breakfast buffet was incredible- quality, variety, service was better than anything in the US!

Overall this is a great hotel....wonderful attentive service, huge rooms which are great value, one of the best breakfast spreads you'll ever see, good location close to the skytrain with a half hourly shuttle to take you there, close to the river and great views from the room.

But there was 1 disappointment which kind of marred the stay. On our last night we ate at Cafe Mozu and ordered a dish which should have come with appetizers/dessert. We had ordered other food and our waitress had just assumed without telling us that we did not need the appetisers/dessert. Then they charged us for the full price with appetisers so we ended up paying £20 for something which on its own should be about £4....that was wrong of them.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and loved every second. The service is amazing and the staff is willing to do everything to make your stay memorable. Located close to skytrain and the main pier - hotel has free shuttle if you dont Want to walk the 5 minutes down there.
Couldn't connect to the wifi and they called their internal IT department which quickly solved the problem by sending a technician to our room to assist.
Breakfeast has everything you could ever imagine. Food at the restaurants Are quite expensive, we went for a drink at the skybar which definetely can be recommended.
Nice pool.
The room was really spacious and clean with a very Large bathroom.
We would love to go again.

I have stayed at lebua a few times before and it's amazing that each subsequent stay is better than the previous one. So few hotels can offer you an improved experience after a revisit, so this makes lebua at State Tower among the finest in Asia.
The big difference of this hotel compared to others is its incredible staff. Every single one makes great effort to remember your name and anticipate your needs before you utter them. The staff here is so warm and caring that they inspire you to be the best hotel guest you can be to return their generosity.
The room we stayed in was absolutely huge with a view to die for. It was kept in top condition by the very efficient housekeeping team, which is no small feat considering the size of the unit and our extended length of stay.
The restaurants are, of course, legendary. A stay at lebua would not be complete without dinner at Sirocco or Mezzaluna, breakfast or lunch at Mozu and drinks at Distil Bar or Sky Bar. The views are magnificent, but they come secondary to the exemplary service. From the expert Michelin chefs to the insightful guidance of the maitre d', each meal was something to remember.
The hotel is in a great location near the shopping areas of Silom and Patpong, and within walking distance from Saphan Taksin BTS station. We just hopped on it to splurge at MBK and Chatuchak Weekend Market.
Overall, lebua is just out of this world, and I would not stay anywhere else on my next visit to Bangkok.
