“Nice stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

After traveling phuket we made our last stop at lebua! The hotel is very nice and all the hotel employees were very nice except for the ones in the restaurant at the top. Nonetheless the bar was great and we enjoyed drinks on the rooftop taking in the view. The room was very spacious with a nice sitting area snd fabulous view on the river.

- Service: Everyone was beyond fantastic. They spoke perfect English, anticipated our questions, etc.

- Room: We reserved a basic room and it was roughly 800 sq ft! It included a living room, kitchen (stop-top, large fridge and microwave), marble bath, safe, desk area, closet and a large balcony. The furnishings were fairly new and very comfortable.

- Breakfast: Amazing. If it's not included in your room rate, it's ~$15 USD per person. It has something for everyone including local dishes, japanese station, salad station, fruit station, bakery with wood oven, cereals, chef-made egg station, US/UK side dishes, fresh juices, etc.

- Restaurant: Incredibly expensive for Bangkok. Roughly $50 US pp without alcohol.

- Building: Conveniently located near the river boats (to avoid traffic) and the metro station. Its height also makes it easy to find when your turned around in the neighborhood. The pool area is well maintained and has a gorgeous view of the city. Gym is top notch.

We have stayed this place on my first Thai visit. It was an amazing experience for us! After a long plane travel, we got more than we expected. Definitely I recommend you stay at this hotel and try a nice drink on roof-top.

Great staff, great place and clean rooms for the ones who need to add some luxury their bangkok trip.

The best part about Labua is the view, especially if you upgrade to the Tower Club, the only downside of that is you are in the elevator grouping with the Sky Bar so in the evenings, a lot of people going up and down with crowded elevators. Our room was large and comfortable with that great river view, on the 57th floor. The furniture and décor needs updating as well as the mattress & bed linens could be better in order to truly be a 5 star luxury when you look at the others in that category but was clean and all staff really nice. There is a nice size fridge which is helpful & bathroom spacious with touches of marble here and there.

The breakfast buffet is great, a lot of choices and they change it up every day. We also had the tower club lounge included and thought it was nice for a light lunch with afternoon cocktails, the atmosphere in the lounge was really nice with big comfy chairs and that great view, really relaxing.

The gym is one of the best I've seen with steam room and sauna as well. The pool was a bit of a let down though, only about 3 feet deep with a few lounge chairs. If you want any service you have to go looking for it in the restaurant, people are eating at one end of the pool. When we were there some party goers from the Sky Bar the night before sort of took over the pool.

The location is a little strange, when you come & go it's as if you're in the middle of back alleys so not so good for just walking around, you need to get a taxi or tuk tuk. We had a nice experience overall but next time I would stay elsewhere.

My first time to Bangkok and the Lebua Hotel was an amazing experience!
The suites are enormous and provide great views looking across Bangkok.
On the roof, there's an open air bar and restaurant to eat and dine at.
Overall, we were both very happy with the room, its facilities, bed comfort, shower and bath combination. Despite being in South East Asia, there was a diverse range of Western foods available and the chefs were good at cooking too (the buffet is delicious!!!!)

Room Tip: The hotel is divided into 2 sections. The Tower is slightly more expensive but good!

When we arrived we were told that our room was not ready and would have to wait. In about 15 minutes they told us that the room was still not ready and therefore they would upgrade is to a corner suite which is "bigger". When we walked into our room we were shocked to see the size of our room! It was HUGE! It had a bedroom, a large living room, dining area, another small room with a sofa-cum-bed, two bathrooms, a kitchen with a washer and dryer! Plus it was on one of the higher floors so the view was good too!

We really enjoyed our stay there. The breakfast spread was huge and therefore we made it a point to wake up every morning for breakfast.

Their restaurants and bars are expensive for Thailand but both Breeze and Ciroco are definitely worth visiting for their great food, yummy drinks and spectacular view!

It is not very conveniently located and hence we had to take a can almost every time we stepped out.

There are many reasons for booking at Lebua: the views, the restaurants, the movie fame to name just a few. For each, there are at least 2 reasons that will make you return.

I will start with an unexpected surprise: the breakfast. Imagine 3 large restaurant rooms of excessively varied buffet options for Asian, European, Arabic, Indian etc. etc. specialities. Toaster? No. They will toast your choice of 11 different bread types in their wood-fired stone oven, and they employ a guy whose only job is to glaze your ham.

The hotel is a large enterprise, but we felt exclusive in the treatment and attention we received. We stayed in a river-facing suite on the 56th floor (next to the Hangover suite) and the views from the superb balcony are spectacular. The room was very large and comfortable. I definitely recommend spending at least one night in to dine at the Dome. It is on the expensive side but the food is excellent, especially if you like avant-garde combinations. Catch the fireworks while you're up there too. Mr. Chow would want you to.

All in all, we loved our stay in this hotel. So much in fact that I chose it to propose to my –now- fiancée and they were extremely collaborative to help me organise it properly. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The views from the higher floors on the river are spectacular.
