“Unparalleled service and views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013 via mobile

This was my first time to Bangkok and by myself. Therefore I splurged on the hotel transportation from the airport. It was seamless!! After a long flight from California, Japan to Bangkok, I was whisked away by my stretch BMW and classy chauffeur.
Got to the hotel and was checked in immediately. I was on a supper high floor which allowed me to see river views of the Chao Phraya River . The room was huge! As you enter, there's your living room then kitchen and then your bedroom. The patio has beautiful pillars outside and couldn't believe my view, as far as the eye could see. To my surprise, I was staying at the same hotel Hangover Part II had been filmed! I knew that sky bar looked familiar. The skybar is amazing. The morning breskfast is delicious and people offer to help you or bring you your food although it's a buffet style breakfast. The service is wonderful. Not sure if its because of the hotel, but the Thai people are just genuinely very nice people (watch out when you're site seeing at the palace, local taxis will try to lure you away to other places).
My last morning there, during checkout, they wished me a happy birthday! They were detailed enough to care that it was my birthday. I splurged again, and this time got the stretch Mercedes to the airport. Well worth it!!

initially, we did not want to stay in bangkok and preferred to spend all our honeymoon in phuket, looking for relaxation and nature outdoor activities, sea, jungle...etc.

however, due to change of flight we had to spend one night in bangkok from 8:00 pm to next day 6:00 am. with such short period of time, we were looking for a hotel with nice view over the city and with nice dinning experience and we found lebua.

everything was amazing, I wish we were able to stay for more nights, the staff was very helpful, knowing we are honeymooners and will stay in lebua for one night only, they were able to manage a reservation at sirocoo for us. we reserved a one bedroom suite with city and river view but when we reached the hotel we were upgraded to two bedroom suite with red flowers and happy honeymoon cake. :)

The suite was amazing, spacious, luxarious, many balconies all with amazing views over the city, the master bedroom had big windows all over the walls providing amazing view.

the dinner at sirroco was excellent, nice jazz band playing and we got another happy honeymoon cake. our night at lebua was memorable, amazing and we look forward to go there again and this time spend more days. very highly recommended

Room Tip: river view suites provides both city and river view, highly recommended

Today is our last day and the stay so far has been faultless.
We arrived on the 22nd and had booked a superior suite but the river view was not available in so that we were upgraded to the 51st floor to a junior suite. From the moment that we arrived we were looked after although we must say that for a famous hotel we expected the lobby reception area to be a lot larger in comparison to the other 5 star hotels that we have stayed at. ( there is a large front reception area in fact but originally created for business travellers but not fully developed or used by hotel staff but the visitors do use it.) This was the only negative about the hotel.
The room is spacious with its own lounge area anc kitchenettes area with a large minibar and microwave and tea and coffee making facilities complimentary. The room also connects into a large marble bathroom suite with a walk in shower and large bath again supplied with luxuries and the house keeping had been first class . We asked and got an ironing board and iron and extra hangars and also asked for someone from the business centre to check on our wifi which was running low and they soon came and connected us by installing a router. The room is serviced twice a day with clean towels toiletries tea coffee and water and a turn down service. We cannot really complain. The breakfast in the Mozu buffet style has been wonderful with everything from British/ continental to Chinese cuisine catering for different nationalities from healthy options to not so healthy but certainly indulging.
There can be a short wait for the lifts but the lift staff are attentive, they're usually crowded in the evenings when everybody including other visitors make a bee line for the skybar. Once you are up there in the 64th floor you certainly Havnt experienced anything like this, we paid about £15 each for a cocktail up there but it's certainly worth it as you're not going to get a view like this anywhere not even London. We dined up here last night and went got the chefs taster menu which came in at 200 Gbp plus 10% tax as we celebrated our anniversary. It is expensive for one meal but if you're only going to do it the once then its worth it.. but the taster was 7 courses long and excellent quality.

We used the pool steam room and jacuzzi, the water us luke wsrm but you climatise to it . The staff have been very attentive and welcoming.

Stayed here for 2 nights in December and the rooms were really nice with large bathroom, kitchenette and separate living area. Check in took about 30 mins but we were offered some tea while we waited. The views from the balcony are great although the doors to the balcony are only unlocked if you have children over the age of 14 as the style of the balcony is dangerous for children The hotel lobbies are large with a lot of wasted space and rather boring, not at all what you would expect in a 5 star hotel. We went to the sky bar and had a cocktail which was good, cocktails arent very good but the views are worth paying for. When we went down to the lobby after our drink to leave the hotel there was a queue of about 50 people waiting to be allowed up to the sky bar, it was a bit like a cattle mart. I tried to go to the pool but there are only about 20 sun loungers and they were all full. Its only a 5-10 minute walk to the sky train and the pier for boat trips. Would i stay here again, probably not unless it was a good offer, i prefer the dusit thani.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 22nd floor overlooking the river, wonderful views.

This place blew us away. The service was the best I have had in my life, they treated us like royalty - top notch staff. The breakfast buffet: THEY TOASTED MY TOAST IN A WOOD BURNING FIRE, fresh everything, and i mean everything - they serve dinner if you want it. Room was fantastic, amazing riverside view, beautiful bathroom, kitchen, living area, 5 star all the way.

It was our little heaven at the end of our trip.

As many others we booked a room in the Lebua after watching Hangover 2. The service when we checked in was great and there was plenty of staff there to look after the guests. We got upgraded for some reason, and got a fantastic suite with amazing views. As we were checking out early for a morning flight they made us a breakfast box since we would miss breakfast. Nice touch! We had a really nice lunch at Mozu, by the pool and it was most enjoyable. We had booked a table at Sirocco, the rooftop restaurant for dinner and it was a bit disappointing. The food and drinks were expensive, even after norwegian standards. The service was good. My husband ate a soup wich he really enjoyed and I ate duck. The duck was lovely but the poached egg filled with coconut (!) was a bit weird and didn't really go with the duck. I also had to go back to the room to change because it was loads of midges biting. We had planned to go to the skybar, but it was so crowded with people not staying at the hotel, so we changed our mind. It should be changed so non residents could only come here after a certain time.

This hotel is one of the best hotels I've been to in my travels. This is place is amazing, the service is excellent. I loved the beds and the products. The room we got was a really good size. The breakfast buffet in the morning is amazing, so make sure you get it. Everyone is so nice, the area of the hotel is very convenient, you can walk to many places around there, and be close to walk to take a boat to take you everywhere. You can eat out of the hotel at the street, and food is delicious. Make sure you get some reservation at the restaurant at the top, it's beautiful, or at least grab a drink at the bar at night, there is a lot of people but totally worth it. I enjoyed the city, but the hotel definitely made it worth to travel so far. Amazing!!
