We didn't realized that Hangover 2 was filmed at the Sky Bar on the top floor of this hotel. The view is amazing!
The stayed in the superior room which offers a sitting area with a TV and a kitchenette. Bathroom is big and clean.

The hotel offers shuttles to the train every 30 minutes but since taxi is so inexpensive, we cab everywhere. 100 baht to the grand palace and 70 baht to the biggest shopping mall in Thailand, The SIam Center.

Breakfast buffet offers food items like a dinner buffet. All kinds of international food.

Staff are extremely polite and helpful.

Can't ask for more!

Room Tip: As long as you are staying on higher floors, you will get a good view of the city and the river.

We spent three nights at lebua on our honeymoon to Thailand two weeks ago. The rooms were spacious, clean and light, but the breakfast sold us on the hotel. It was incredible, a feast for the eyes and the stomach!

On our first night, we ate at Breeze because the hostess at Sirocco told us it was booked. Breeze is the other al fresco restaurant several floors down, but just as expensive. The food was above average, and so were the prices...it was $100 for two appetizers and an entree!!! Drinks at the Sky Bar were outrageous too, but the view was unbelievable.

The staff was helpful, the hotel is well-located just off Silom Road, and the prices otherwise were right!

Spent first 2 nights of our honeymoon at lebua. Beautiful hotel, huge suite rooms, amazing views over Bangkok. Stayed on 54th floor. Great gym, superb buffet breakfast. Highly recommend evening drinks in the distill bar where we enjoyed to die for pork belly entree..yum! Several beautiful restaurants to choose from. Pricey by Thai standards but worth going 5 star for special occasion. We got great deal via Agoda. Only downside.. Couldn't use skybar due to rain and not greatest location in terms of access to skytrain, shopping @ Siam square etc. But would still recommend this hotel.

Great location, excellent bar(s) and one of the best breakfast buffets i have ever experienced. (And i'm comparing to four seasons, silversea and crystal cruises....i mean the best) The sky bar is worth the stay and everything about this place is first class..

Excellent 5-Star choice for Bangkok.

The hotel is quite tall in terms of floors, and if you get placed on a high one, the view is great. It has a very miami-ish style rooftop bar that seems to attract singles and couples only (i guess like most bars/lounges, but this one is definitely a 'scene'). The hotel is very well known and attracts lots of young tourists from Australia and the UK, so expect to see lots of young, trendy couples. There are some great restos on the high floors - but make sure you are dressed appropriately (they will check). One resto is outdoors and the ambiance is wonderful. The rooms are very spacious - there is a couch area separate from the bed area, which has its own TV and plenty of lounge space.

Most rooms comes with a kitchenette area (with a fridge), spacious closets and a HUGE bathroom. The bed area is also spacious with another TV - and the channels are pretty good. The gym is also good (fairly basic), but the pool in front of it is very tempting. If you want to workout daily, it's very solid, but don't expect to see the newest machines on the market here.

The BEST THING about this place, aside from the extremely (and sometimes overly) courteous staff who will bow at you every chance they get, is the breakfast buffet. First off, it comes with the room, so it's FREE. The range of food is amazing and, naturally, the Asian options are outstanding. The dim sum is delicious, and they have a large variety of cusines represented. It's not continential - it's international. Everything from french toast, to toast with beans, to steak and eggs, to congee, to an omlette station to lychee and papayas. We woke up early every morning in anticipation of the food.

Service is great and the stafff will bend over backwards to help you. The hotel is not located near the other 5-stars or near the luxury malls, however. It is basically situated in a very middle class neighborhood surrounded by homes and shops. We enjoyed this aspect of the location, but if you're looking to be surrounded by all the 5-star comforts of the West, this isn't the place for you. It is, however, conveniently located near the metro station and water boats piers which provide you with easy access to all parts of the city.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and really couldn't find anything we disliked. I would highly recommend this affordable 5 star hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok, and would stay there again myself on a future trip.

Room Tip: Ask for upgrade when checking in and/or a room on a high floor

We had a fabulous stay at the hotel and cannot fault it. We only decided to stay here as we got an amazing deal with lastminute.com otherwise this hotel was quite pricey. Also I knew that hangover 2 had been filmed here so I really wanted to stay. As part of our deal we had a river view room with breakfast however when we turned up they had ran out of river view rooms so offered to upgrade us for free to a suite on the 64th floor! It was amazing! Our suite had a huge living room area, 2 bathrooms and showers,a kitchen with a washing machine and 2 absolutely gigantic balconies with gorgeous views over Bangkok. The staff are friendly and speak English very well. The bar at the top of the hotel is well worth a visit. It has a lovely atmosphere with really good views although it was very crowded when we went and the bar lady was very stuck up! They even have a special drink there called the Hangovertini which was quite nice. Ofcourse the bar is very pricey but that is expected for a place like that. The breakfast is also very good not a huge selection though but what was available was very tasty. It also has a good location and you can walk to the nearest station and get around Bangkok quite easily. Overall a fantastic stay would definitely go back I just can't believe the deal we got on this as for this place I would be willing to pay over the odds.

We have stayed at the Lebua 4 times now. It's been an excellent choice every time. First, this hotel is HUGE. Even the one bedroom units are spacious, with additional kitchenette and lounging area. The included breakfast puts many competitors to shame. It has just about everything one could want from a basic fresh salad, to sushi, Asian breakfast dishes, Indian dishes, omelets, a vast selection of French pastries and breads, and more. On the last two occasions, we opted to stay in a two-bedroom suite. This unit includes a total of 5 private balconies, all with terrific views. We watched fireworks from the river while lounging in the privacy of our room. This unit is very much like having one's own apartment in the center of Bangkok. Staff is well-trained, extremely respectful and helpful. It would be hard to consider staying elsewhere in Bangkok - we have been spoiled by the Lebua!

Room Tip: They are all good, but choosing a river view will enhance your travel experience while in Bangkok.
