Nice hotel. Booked two Grand Deluxe rooms which were big with comfortable beds. The hotel was located just in front of the Platinum Mall shopping. The facilities in this hotel were good. The pool was great. The staff is knowledgeable and helping. Breakfast had a great selection of fresh food. loved it!

The negative aspect is the absence of a nearby SKYTRAIN (BTS). A taxi or tuk tuk is needed for most transfer to other locations which took almost an hour during rush-hour.

Room Tip: Booking an hotel close to the BST will save you valuable money and time on traffic jams especially i...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your valued feedback and please let me start by saying that I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our hotel and found the rooms and the facilities to your liking. It is always a great pleasure to hear that our team members succeeded in providing the very best of service that our valued guests like yourself deserve.

I am sorry to hear that you found the commute from the hotel some what inconvenient, however, with BTS stations being about 10 minutes walk away, a lot of our guests take this short taxi rides to these stations and continue their onward journeys. Further, due to the central location of the hotel, it benefits from having most of the attractions of interest within walking distance.

I hope this would not deter you from staying with Amari Watergate in the future and look forward to welcoming you again.

Kind Regards,
Saurabh

Great Location
Really comfortable Rooms
Excellent service with very friendly staff
Pool is large, clean and well maintained
Breakfast has a great selection and worth every penny
Bathroom is clean with plenty of hot water
Large windows with pleasant views

My wife had her birthday here and the hotel General Manager Pierre-Andre Pelletier surprised us with a birthday cake in our room, excellent :) really made her day even more perfect.
We travelled with another couple and only stayed here on their recommendation, so very glad we did.
What else can one say other than most things are within walking distance and this is the best hotel here in Bangkok, we could not fault it.

This hotel proved to be an excellent choice and would recommend highly. I stayed in one of the top floor executive rooms. The room was amazing and possibly the best hotel room I've ever stayed in. Massive comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom, with a separate shower and a jacuzzi. The views (day and night) of bangkok from the room were just brilliant. Staff extremely helpful and always eager to please. The swimming pool was nice too . . Hotel staff outside also very good, if you needed a taxi, they got you one. Very clean.
Overall I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel in the future. The location of this hotel is perfect for shopping and some of Bangkoks biggest tourist attractions.

Exceeded my expectations for a luxurious romantic stay, with great amenities, location, staff and service. There was so much attention to detail and staff of the executive floors remember you by name every time, going out of their way to ensure you get what you need. Chef even prepared a special batch of glutenfree bread for breakfast for me! Fantastic in a country where finding special glutenfree products or explaining what glutenfree means is normally very difficult! Can't praise this place enough. Have stayed here before and will definitely be back. The GM is always doing the rounds with a big smile and personally greeting guests to make you feel extra welcome, whether at breakfast in the lounge or during happy hour... Deserving 5 stars in a city full of 5-star hotels.

Dear Rollergirlnikki,

Thank you for your brilliant review of the hotel. I was thrilled to read how much your stay with us and that all elements from the location, the service and name recognition of our Executive floor team down to the chef preparing your gluten free bread contributed to this.

I will pass your kind words to the team and Mr Pelletier, our GM who most definetly leads by example when it comes to his passion for great service. We genuinely appreciate you taking the time out to write and I do hope it won't be too long before we are welcoming you back to your "home" in Bangkok

We were booked here for our company outing and was pleasantly surprised on how generous the room sizes are. Service was friendly, responsive and efficient, especially when they received the bulk of our group (around 30 people). The food we ate at their Thai restaurant was exemplary, while the breakfast, though delicious, can use a little variety each day. But kudos to the Middle Eastern and Indian choices there. The only minor quibbles I had were the WiFi quality at the lobby and I guess the now universal complaint of not having free WiFi in rooms (which I can ignore), and the rather bland offerings of the Henry J. Bean franchise downstairs (which may or may not be operated by the hotel). Otherwise, it's a true oasis amidst the humid heat of Bangkok.

The location is both good and bad, depending on your traveling preference. It is near the major shopping malls like Central World, Platinum Plaza (just across), Prantip Plaza and beside it is Pratunam Market, I recommend it if you're in Bangkok for shopping. But if you're the type who roam Bangkok using the subway and Skytrain, it takes quite a walk to the nearest station, quite inconvenient under the tropical heat. The Airport Express is quite near the Baiyoke area but when you're carrying heavy luggage, it can be quite a daunting task dodging pedestrians, shop stalls and motorcycles. Which means, you will find yourself taking the cabs and diving headlong to the infamous traffic jams. I personally want to avoid taking cabs in Bangkok (even here in Metro Manila) since it seems all cab drivers all over the world seem to have a secret code of behaviour - overcharge at hotels and airports and complain when traffic is not moving.

Still, the complaints are minor and would book here again, on my personal account.

Dear hizonfire,

Thank you for your great review of the hotel. I am so pleased to read that you had such an enjoyable stay and that various elements from the generous room size, Thai on 4 restaurant and most importantly the friendliness of the staff all contributed to this.

I have made careful note about the wifi, we have invested in the system recently so we can continually improve the service and hopefully you will see a difference on the next visit. I am sorry that the food offering in Henry J Beans was not to your liking, we do run all our outlets here from the hotel so I will raise this with our Executive Chef. We offer a variety of dining facilties as you will have seen to give our guests many options.

We really do appreciate you taking the time to write and for your personal recommendation, I do hope it won't be too long before we are welcoming you back to your "home" in Bangkok.
