My wife and I are currently staying at the hotel in room 4085, the room is above average for the price of what we would get in Perth Western Australia. The staff are all very helpful , and try their best. We have had some issues though. The fantastic pool area has no bar. Service is from a phone left on the poolside area desk. It is also locked at 2100hrs at night! Just when the temperature is right, and you have finished dinner for the evening. The coctails are way overpriced, and the smallest you will find in Thailand. If you ask for no ice, you end up with a coctail the size of a thimble. The staff are friendly, and very helpful, but most of them have very little english. The main Zeppelin restaurant does not have a spirits menu, and they will admit to only having three drinks, if you go to the Henry J Bean restaurant after 1700hrs you will see a wide selection on the shelves, but they do not know what they have. Generally a pleasant stay, but really marred by the total lack of facilities at the poolside area. and the locking of the outside area doors after 2100hrs. You cannot even go for a walk. breakfast is very ordinary. the food is not replenished quickly, the juices are tinned. and most of the cooked food is cold. We ate about 0830 and obviously some of the food had been sitting there since 0600hrs. Main benefit to the hotel is you can walk across to the airport and not have to brave the Bangkok traffic to get to the airport
