This is a perfect place for a family of 2 adults and 2 young kids. Else in a hotel you need 2 seperate rooms or pay more for a suite. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. It has a kitchenette and you can prepare your own meals provided you have the time for this and the resources like buying the grocery, etc. The pool and the gym is nicely located on the rooftop where you can get complete view of Bangkok city. The location is great where you can be to all tourist places by taxi or public transportation. It has the big shopping centres within walking distance. The apartment is normally for extended stay and not for 1 or 2 nights. Hence I would recommend Mayfair apartments and to stay longer period to enjoy the city of Bangkok.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was about 100m2, it was beautifully furnished, had a fantastic fitout and met my expectations on every level.

The roof top pool and bar are fantastic with a great view of the city. The staff are all very friendly and willing to have a chat.

I would recommend this to any business traveller on an extended stay in BKK

Location: Excellent, right in the heart of Bangkok, with all the "must-see" places very very nearby and you can just walk to these places. Situated on one-way road, the traffic is also not much and all the 7-11 store, cafes, villa market etc just few steps around.

Staff: Very courteous in nice uniforms, very helpful. From the security man standing outside to every staff member, everybody welcomes you with smile and greets you everytime. Full marks.

Rooms: We stayed in 2-bedroom apartments on 4th floor which was the highlight of our stay. Loved the layout plan with good free space in living room/dining area. We had two kids with us who loved playing in this area and running around. Though we had requested for non-smoking room but we were given this room on 4th floor. The first time we entered, we faced a little problem of smoky smell around. The next day the staff gave us room on 10th floor but we preferred staying on 4th floor only as the room layout was much better than the 10th floor. So no regrets on that. The room had excellent amentites: Microwave, Dishwasher, Washing machine with drier, hot plate etc all were very neatly placed. The washrooms were good specially in the master bedroom with the tub and rain shower. The beds were very comfortable and so were the pillows. The only problem we faced in room was of the mosquitos. Even at midnight, the hotel staff came to our room and sprayed "Baygon" all over. Rooms get our full marks also.

Breakfast: The only negative thing during our stay. Being totally vegetarian, the choice was limited with Boiled Brocolli, Potatoes, Brown/Jasmine rice, Bread, Jam, Butter and Pan cake with Guava, Orange, Apple juice, fresh fruit cut and few bakery items. As such Ok but the problem was the same menu gets repeated everyday. I mean who can eat the same things again and again everyday. We stayed there for 6 days and it was same everyday as if the chef knew only these dishes and nothing else. Though we met Asst Chef "Eddy" and told him abt the problem and next morning we had special vegetarian dishes made specially for us, that much the staff cared for us but again almost the same one for the rest of our days there. Many times, we had our b/fast self-made in our apartment only but then whats the use of complimentary b/fast. Suggestion to Hotel : PLS TAKE IMMEDIATE STEPS TO MAKE B/FAST ENJOYABLE AND OF DIFFERENT VARIETY EVERYDAY OR CHANGE THE CHEF.

Pool: Pool on the top floor was excellent with two jacuzzis. The Sauna is also ther in men's room. Further up is Gym and the kids corner which again are very good. You can view skyline of Bangkok from the pool, thats amazing. There are Happy Hours: from 5-8pm, so enjoy.

Spa Centre: That is good but the staff there doesnt understand English and all the time Front Desk people negotiate and book for u. Moreover this is privately operated and not of Marriott.

All in all this property gets full marks for Location, Service, Security, Courteousness, Neatness. Negative marks: Only for Breakfast menu. Good for families with kids too.

We booked ourselves an apartment with 3 rooms. The rooms were clean, spacious and swanky. Located on Langsuan road which is a bit far from Sukhimvit. The breakfast was okay, it could be a bit lavish. The rooftop pool along with a heated jacuzzi and bar was fantastic. The staff behavior was excellent. Would surely recommend if traveling with family or for travellers who want a quiet neighborhood.

Our family of three stayed here for a month early in 2013, while looking for a long-term apartment in Bangkok. We had a two-bedroom apartment, which was very nice and well designed. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was a washer/drier. Our three-year old child loved the kids' playroom, and we found that this was also a great place to meet other families, who were often in the same situation as us, who had moved to Bangkok recently and were looking for housing. We also liked the swimming pool. There are surely more impressive breakfast buffets elsewhere in Bangkok, but at the same time, the buffet in this hotel is still quite good, and you would need to have very high expectations in order to be dissatisfied with it. The staff in the hotel were generally helpful, although some of the front desk staff seemed more interested in talking with each other than helping guests. Finally, the location of the hotel is practical - there is a supermarket right around the corner, and many good restaurants nearby. The BTS air train is less than 10 minutes away by foot. All in all, we had a great stay at the Marriott Mayfair, and would recommend it to others, particularly families with young children.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment, and it was the best accommodations I could ask for. We stayed a total of 7 nights. The staff was excellent. The woman at the front desk remembered my name every day after I checked in. The woman at the front door was as smiling and helpful with directions and cabs as she could be. The woman who cleaned our room went out of her way to be helpful. The set-up of the apartment was perfect. It was great to have a clothes washer/dryer. The food for breakfast was delicious. There is a great pool and exercise facility. The location is excellent for seeing Bangkok. I would definitely stay here every time I travel to Bangkok.

Room Tip: Check the room before accepting. One had some smells.

I've stayed at here at least twice a year since 2006 and I keep coming back for one reason - Its excellent. The rooms are fantastic, spacious, very clean and well appointed with good quality tech. I like the fact that I have a living area with couches, separate from the sleeping area and a kitchenette also if I want to rustle something up quickly (not that I need to - room service is great too!!). I have stayed in most of the variety of rooms they have, from a single bed deluxe, to the 2 bedroom two bathroom when I visited the city with family, to the 2 bedroom penthouse when I was on a 'Boys weekend'. At all times the service has been exemplary, can't fault it. I have previously stayed at a couple of other 'luxury' hotels in the city and whilst they were nice - I didn't get that relaxed but attentive vibe that you get at the Mayfair.
The buffet breakfast in the morning is pretty good too, with a wide range of different foods to suit all tastes and appetites, especially Asian and Western.
One really great thing about the hotel is the location - if you know Bangkok and its traffic, then you know its a plus. Soi Langsuan is right in the heart of the embassy district, it is right around the corner from the major embassies, including the US embassy and is in a very strategic and easily accessible location to the expressway to the airport, or to the famous Sukhumvit road. If you are 'Farang' like me, its easy to remember and pronounce 'Soi Langsuan' to a taxi driver, who will instantly know where you want to go - What more could you ask for?
I could go on about the rooftop pool and bar, the stunning views, great service, but that would just be rubbing it in..!! I must however give a big mention about the beds. The Mayfair has the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in - bar none, period. They are huge too!!
Really a great place to stay...

Room Tip: They are all fab, no need to worry about whichever one you select. Though don't forget to put th...
