Stayed there 4 days in December 2006 and found it the best business/luxury hotel I've ever experienced. Central location, big and nicely furbished rooms, WIfi everywhere and very friendly and helpful staff. I especially liked the huge workout and spa areas with a pool terrace (small but cosy, there is a jacuzzi and some tables in the shade).

It's a great hotel! The location is good, by the river. It's hard to believe you are in Bangkok. There is a excellent gym and the pool are is great, big enough. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the food amazing. They have a free boat shuttle to the other side of the river. It takes about 15min to get to the other side where the sky train leaves. You can enjoy the hotel facilities during the day and spend the evenings wondering around Bangkok. We are going back as soon as possible!

We stayed at this hotel from December 28, 2006 - January 2, 2007 and returned frm January 8, 2007 - January 10, 2007. This property is extremely well managed. The staff is impecable and the room service is execellant. We had New Year's eve dinner at "Nami", 1/2 of the on-site Japanese restuarant (Tsu is the Sushi side, Nami is thr Tepanayki side). Service and food were 1st rate. Security was tight during the latter part of our stay (following the bombings in Bangkok) complete with metal detectors and bag inspections. All vehicles entering the drive are inspected as well.

The rooms were beautiful and the hotel location is terriffic for shopping as all of the major malls are close by.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights the first week in Jan '07. What a great place to stay. The work out room is worth the stay alone. They have free classes all day and you have use of the locker room which includes sauna, steam bath and hotel/cold bath. The spa treatments I received were great too. The outdoor pool is great and you don't feel like you're in the middle of a city. The buffet breakfast is tasty but very expensive. The Starbucks is just across the street - also, the tailor across the street in the mall, Hi-Mark, is great. My husband got a new suit, plus two dress shirts and an extra pair of dress pants all for USD 450. Security was beefed up after the bombings too - metal detectors as you came in every time - didn't slow you down too much. Everyone is very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in a twin room and everything was great. The hotel has a very zen-like, spa and Thai ambience which is very relaxing. The room was comfortable and we had a complimentary fruit plate and drinking water everyday. Just a short walk to Nana station. Very nice pool and gym facilities as well. The staff are polite and the bakery at the lobby sells pastries at a discount after a certain time. It may be a little far from the city but usually, the location of good hotels are such, isn't it? The only complaint I have was when we took a cab back to the hotel, the driver refused to return us our change and we tried to ask the doorman to help but instead, he asked us to forget abt the change. Not that it was a lot, but i felt he shouldn't have behaved that way.

I did not get to stay at the JW Marriott because I cancelled my reservation due to the unfortunate bombings in Bangkok on 1 January 2007. Even though I had booked a non-cancellable advance purchase reservation, JW Marriott said they would cancel my reservation and offer a full refund due to the circumstances.

That's fantastic service in my book, because it looked unlikely that travel insurance would have covered this cancellation. For peace of mind, I would definitely recommend the JW Marriot.
