This hotel was our stop over in Bangkok before moving onto chiang mai. It was perfect. We had a family room, a little small with 2 double beds, however we weren't in the room for much. The pool is fantastic - massive and open really late. There's plenty to chose from for food - it's a little bit corporate and set up for weddings - but service is really good. It's on the water obviously and there's a free boat service making it easy to get around.

Sitting at the airport waiting for my flight back to Australia and I just want to turn back around again! Just finished a 3 night stay at Anantara Riverside and I fell in love with the place straight away. The staff are all just so wonderful, with nothing too much of a bother. With all the restaurants and bars this hotel has everything you could want. My family and I went on tours of temples, floating markets and even got to ride an elephant during the day but it was so lovely to come back in the afternoon and sit by the pool drinking cocktails and just simply relaxing.
The breakfast at the Riverside Terrace at the hotel was simply the best breakfast I have ever eaten - with so much variety even the fussiest eater would be happy!
This was my first visit to Thailand but certainly won't be my last. I will definitely be visiting Anantara Riverside again!

We stayed here over Easter in a corner suite, with kasara club access and had a lovely time. It truly has a resort feel even though you are still in Bangkok. Staff were extremely accommodating , and welcoming. The shuttle boat was a great way to venture out either for dinner, or sightseeing. Not much either side of the resort, however you really didn't need to venture out as there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. We particularly enjoyed breakfast.
We have already recommended to others and will definitely return.

We stayed here for one night on our way home from Koh Samui. We wanted somewhere far from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and certainly found it here. It was very hot for the two days we were there but being at Anantara felt like being in a beautiful oasis of greenery. The staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. Our room was comfortable with a fabulous bed and the bathroom had a great layout. We particularly enjoyed the traditional Thai dancing show in the evening, something we have always wanted to see, and we weren't disappointed. The dancers and musicians are superb! The boat across the river was so convenient and we really enjoyed hopping across to the Asiatique Riverside shopping district in the evening.

Room Tip: We loved having a room overlooking the river

Dear Rosesinposies,
We are indeed an oasis of lush greenery in the heart of Bangkok, and I am glad you appreciated this very much. Thank you for also highlighting the comfort of our rooms, the complimentary shuttle boat service and most importantly the warm hospitality rendered by our associates.

It is always a pleasure for us to introduce our guests to the graciousness of the Thai culture and I am glad you were able to enjoy this through our daily Thai Cultural performances at the Riverside Terrace Buffet Restaurant.

I do hope you will return to your ‘paradise’ for another memorable holiday.

We stopped over to meet a friend and family after a gruelling three weeks visiting in Australia and New Zealand. Arranged by Trailfinders as we had no knowledge of Bangkok at all. Arrived at 0200 local time after hour trip from airport (again arranged by Trailfinders) to find efficient greeting staff wide awake to our sleep needs! Three day stay extremely comfortable. Great room. All very clean. Finding way around hotel buildings takes some doing as it is rather a maze. Thank Heaven for their efficient air conditioning too in Bangkok's heat and humidity. Boat shuttle worked well. Food excellent.

Slightly out of some tourist areas of City but none the worse for that. Would stay there again.

What an amazing hotel and Spa. As the title suggests, we were here on our honeymoon and had been recommended the hotel through Trailfinders.

Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by reception and told we'd been upgraded. Now we'd booked one of the fanciest rooms anyway, so this was exciting. Actually just turns ut we were top floor, so with a better view, but still a very nice gesture.

The room itself was stunning, very modern and couldn't have been cleaner. A 'Happy Honeymoon' cake was in the room for us, plus fruit and flowers which was a really nice touch too.

The hotel is very modern and stunning all over. The pool and jacuzzi area are fantastic as is the swim up bar. All of these areas just look even better at night with the lighting.

Without fail, we used the hotel ferry boat each day, totally free of charge and with great staff to help out if needed.

The food in the hotel was superb. We'd 100% recommend Benihana which was a honeymoon favourite for us.

All in all, we couldn't think of one thing that wasn't available at breakfast, they seriously had everything covered.

Oh and as a side note, the air con in the room wasn't too loud, we've since stayed in a hotel in Koh Samui where this isn't the case. Just a small but important note when you are trying to sleep in 33 degrees heat.

We had a couples massage in the spa - Wow, you have to have one, the staff within the spa were great, really friendly and 100% professional, no funny business from them :-)

We loved this place, would 100% return and this is all down to the amazing hotel and staff that work there. If you are booked here, you are in for a real treat.

Room Tip: Go for height and river view, will have a great view at night.

Bangkok is under millitary rule and hotels are having great packages now. Checked with friends in Bangkok and was told there is nothing to fear, especially for tourists. Searching thoroughly for a resort hotel for leisure travel and found Anantara who has consistent good reviews.

Located along ChaoPraya river just opposite the newly opened Asiatique mall, it is an hour of taxi ride from the international airport. On arrival, travelling as a couple, we were immediately met by Vincent, friendly front office personnel who did our check-in swiftly and showed us personally to our room, a luxurious junior suite on the 4th floor with a balcony.

To get to the city area, best way is to take the complimentary boat ride to Sathorn bridge pier which is near to the Sathorn Taksin train station. However, the boat departs every 30 minutes till midnight only. Beautiful gardens with an inviting swimming pool as you walked towards the ferry pier, the hotel interiors and landscaping is really almost perfect.

After lots of shopping and walking, we cannot wait to return to our hotel room and we must say, the bed is really helpful and we rested very well.

The Elephant Bar offers unusual cocktails and thats where we watched the recent world cup match Netherlands vs Mexico. It was very exciting especially when watching with local Thai people and foreign hotel guests.

Nice..... will be back.

Room Tip: ask for room upgrade.

Dear MadButterfly,
You have rightfully stated that all operations in Bangkok are running as normal and the city continues to receive tourist and business travelers as usual. I am glad you found Anantara Bangkok Riverside, and equally glad that you found our Resort’s location to your liking, conveniently located and easily accessible; as well as the welcoming swimming pool, our Thai-inspired interiors and our lush gardens.

Thank you for your kind appreciation of our associates, facilities and experiences; especially your experience at our Elephant Bar and catching the football match and sipping ‘unusual’ cocktails - this is greatly appreciated.

Nice….if we could welcome you back for more comfortable sleeps and unusual cocktails - minus the World Cup matches!

I hope to see you soon.
