I have stayed at this property several times. Twice when it was a Marriot resort and once now that it was bought by Anantara. Each time I have been impressed by the beautiful rooms, lobby areas and wonderful restaurants and great staff. It is difficult for taxi's to find this hotel, but other than that I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. They have a Trader Vic's which I love and
the pool with pool bar and jacuzzi are a treat. Be sure to check out the tennis courts, it is a bit of a challenge to get to them , but worth it.

Room tip: ask for a river view

Stunning view of Chaopraya River, 05 star hotel & facilities, well decorate room, nice garden, spa, restaurant. All is makes Anantara Bangkok Riverside is exceed than expectation.

At lobby, you will see traditional Thai Lady who show the fruit craving or play the traditional musical instrument. Between check in, en joy seeing the mini exhibition and art gallery. Room is well maintain. All standard approach ! restaurant is nice with lots of options to select.

Swimming Pool is good - resort style, world class spa & massage.

Restaurant - Banihana, Brio, and Riverside terrace was ok.

The negative things.

1. a bit far from BTS if compare with other riverside hotels. However, 30 minutes shuttle boat provided

We have stayed at this hotel four times and the service is really special. It is a resort and all the restaurants are really excellent although the Japanese is a little expensive. We love the swimming pool in a tropical garden setting and for that matter all the surrounding gardens. Any special request is given serious consideration and you really feel special all the time and any issues we had which were minimal were given immediate and positive attention. I travel a lot and this hotel is top for me on value and service, a serous consideration if you are visiting Bangkok.

Room tip: We prefer a higher room floor since the views of the river in particular are stunning.

The hotel is away from central Bangkok and provides a wonderful atmosphere that will bring out the best of Thailand. The complimentary breakfast spread is excellent (6am-10:30am) and covers variety of food. While taking the free ferry to the nearest Skytrain station can eventually become a little burdensome, the tranquil atmosphere provided by the location definitely outweighs any negative aspect (distance to the skytrain) of this hotel.

A wonderful 2 night stay at the Anantara. The location was fabulous, away from the madness and noise of central Bangkok. There is a free ferry shuttle between the hotel and downtown area and Asiatique, the night market which is well worth a visit. The river breeze was much needed in all the heat.
The staff at the hotel were very attentive and made the start of our honeymoon very special - the cake from número UNO was amazing and well received. Wish we had stayed longer as there is a lot of good facilities.
If I had to make one recommendation it would be with regards to the wi-fi. 30 minutes free is not enough and in most other places we have stayed wifi availability is free of charge 24 hours. Nonetheless, thank you for your lovely welcome and wonderful stay. If we return to Bangkok we will certainly stay and would recommend it.
