Owner description: The Loha Prasat is an amazing building with an iron roof made of 37 spires signifying the 37 enlightenment virtues of Buddhism. It is listed on wikitravel - http://wikitravel.org/en/Bangkok/Rattanakosin#b, but ought to be available to Trip Advisor visitors.

This temple has 37 spires which is unlike any other wats. The elegance of this temple can even be admired from afar. It is located not far from Wat Saket (Wat Golden Mount) along Maha Chai Road.

A very unusual temple that many people seem to miss, pity, as it is simply put, magical.. Let yourself wander through each of the floors and absorb the many proverbs and teachings of the Buddha that are hanging everywhere... Each floor is reached by a lovely spiral stairacse that opens up onto yet another floor of devotion and tranquility.. I was alone there save for the workmen on the scaffolding at the very top of the building, working on the metal l spires, hanging off the scaffolding by one hand or balancing precariously , true faith indeed!..
Also, there is a very nice little kiosk just past the temple at the back where you can get a cool drink, snack and free WIFI... very nice girls running it!

The architecture is very different from other temple complexes and well worth a visit. Close by are the royal pavilion and the fortress. When I went earlier in the morning I was the only one there and so I could take my time looking around. Put this one on your list of things to see!

Skip all the crowds and head to peace, beauty, and information. The circular wood staircase is beautiful. There is a walking meditation floor and a sitting meditation floor. There is information throughout the Building to soak up as much information as you want. This is a one of a kind building. The breeze on each floor as well as the sound of chimes makes this attraction a must see. No entry fee but I always donate 20-100 baht as this is well worth it.

Don't miss this temple its close to the golden mount and is very different from all the other temples you will find in Bangkok. It has an amazing amount of wood and shows how the old temples use to look. Get up to the top and you will have some great views.
