Opposite the Le Meridien hotel, downstairs in a small shopping centre, and not overly easy to find, but a good option in the madness of Patpong.
The Oasis Lounge really is styled like a diner and is very casual and friendly.
Food is good, service a little mixed though. The food was served randomly, with mains arriving before soup, and around 15 minutes between first and last dishes arriving, and the promised bowl never did arrive. Good quality cooking, with highlights being Beef curry with peanuts (Massman), orange curry served in a pineapple, and shrimp salad with lemongrass and mint.
The Canadian owner Rob is friendly and is probably the main reason for the popularity of the Oasis. Although the food is good, set your expectations that this is a casual diner. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Patpong area, but probably not special enough to cross town for (as we had).
We over-ordered, having not eaten all day, and had 3 beers each, and the bill for 2 was 1750 baht (approx £40).
