The Okura was a very new hotel with excellent location - just next to BTS Pheno Chit station. It was a modern, neat and clean hotel, a typical well managed Japanese-modern style hotel. The room was very comfortable with nice view. Though simple, you got everything you needed (including free wi-fi) in the room. For breakfast, you can choose between traditional Japanese one or typical western buffet - as we are not a big fan for grilled fish, so we chose buffets for consecutive mornings. It was great with lots of choices!! Most of the hotel staff are very nice and helpful, they will try to find you the answers even if they didn't know personally (as we asked about the detailed schedule of the Airport Railway).
I agreed with most of the comments here, it was a superb hotel with good value of money. I would like to recommend this hotel who look for a quality hotel in BKK. For sure, we will come back to Okura next time we visit BKK

We value our guest’s feedback and we're delighted that you enjoyed our Hotel so much. Indeed, we are so centrally located, surrounded by major embassies and being on top of the Park Venture Office Complex has several advantage such as benefiting of the direct train access, and yet to come, a direct walkway to the soon too open Central Embassy, what is now being earmarked as Bangkok’s newest retail landmark. We hope to see you again soon at our luxury Bangkok Hotel and we are very thankful for your recommendations and needless to say, we would be thrilled to welcome you back!
Sincerely

I stayed at Okura Prestige Bangkok in early September as part of my birthday celebration trip in Thailand. It's been a very memorable stay as the hotel has kindly arranged a birthday cake for me upon arrival, together with a very nice Japanese style birthday card with hand-written greetings from the guest relations manager. Overall the hotel is a very new property in a luxury yet subtle style which makes the stay a very relaxing and comfortable one. The pool and fitness centre are just spectacular, and the very sumptuous breakfast at Up and Above is not to be missed! The location is perfect - it's directly connected to the Sky Train station, and a mall with a convenient store and a Dean and DeLuca store too. Will definitely come back!

It was my first stay in Bangkok, it was a business trip, I didn't enjoy Bangkok as a city as much as I enjoyed stay in the Hotel, really it was an amazing stay.
Friendly, Helpful, Respectable, Presentable staff.
Over organize, tidy, Neat and clean Room and furniture inside Hotel & Room, very very tasty and delicious food in the restaurants.
Decoration are very attractive, Room is very wide and the housekeeping were very caring as I felt that my Mum was with me ;-), they were folding my clothes and arranging my shoes.
Incidentally my birthday came during my stay there, they sent me a cake & greeting card to my room it was a fantastic surprise.
If you are looking for the luxury and comfortable stay, I swear that you will not find it except in Okura Hotel.
Thanks to all the staff there and will plan to visit Bangkok again to stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors have amazing view.

I stayed at the Okura Prestige Bangkok at our company offsite in Apr'13.

The Okura Prestige sets very high benchmarks for luxury. The rooms were large and spacious with a large bathroom, bathtub, etc. The view of Bangkok from the 30th floor was great. The quality of fittings, furnishings, bath accessories, was top-class. Service was excellent yet discreet.

The Executive Lounge at 33rd floor and the infiniti pool at floor 25 were in-house attractions. Special appreciation for the effort put into ensuring good quality vegetarian food at the buffets in the coffee shop on floor 24 as well as the one on floor 25. Also tasted veg Japanese food (soy-based) at Yamazoto- the replica of the michelin 2-starred restaurant at Amsterdam !

Not too expensive (even the card rate) for the standard of services and amenities offered.

Would love to come again!

The new Okura Prestige at Ploenchit is very conveniently located in downtown Bangkok. The rooms are comfortable and we had a great view of the skyline. The restaurant - Up and Above serves a good breakfast spread. While the restaurant's managers are warm and professional, a few of the service staff need training with taking and getting the food orders right. And being attentive to the diners.

Check in and check out was efficient. There is a Dean and Deluca's outlet in the building to pop into, for a hot cuppa while you watch Bangkok scurry on outside. The hotel is connected to the BTS so commuting is easy.

Overall it was a good stay.

We have one complaint though which the hotel management should check and correct. The Concierge on the ground floor are inefficient with help on hailing taxis. Except for one time, each time we requested a taxi, we had to wait for twenty minutes. And they also seemed to be to calling their own taxi buddies who tried to charge exorbitant fares. All the while we could see empty taxis driving past on the road!! We informed them in advance to get us a taxi to the airport and also reminded them twice. Yet when we got to the lobby after checkout there was no sign of a taxi or the person who was asked to do the job. He showed up ten minutes later and proceeded to pretend that he did not know us or remember !! The taxi arrived after 30 minutes!

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Okura Prestige Bangkok on your recent visit to Thailand. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time at our hotel. I must apologise though that you were kept waiting for a taxi and I can assure you that the hotel has no special arrangements with any drivers. Often cabs refuse to turn on their meters and it it such cabs that we kindly reject. At certain times of the day it is not easy finding a cab willing to go to the airport as they have to return without a passenger and as such many are only willing to drive with a surcharge. Our intentions were good, but probably not well enough explained. Apart from our limousines which are always on stand-by, there is the possibility to pre-book a cab if ample notice is given.
We hope to see you back here again soon!

Thank you for reviewing our boutique property here in Bangkok. Being in a central location with easy access to all of the shopping and the city's bustling night life only one stop away via the convenient direct access to Bangkok's Sky Train. is certainly an advantage! We want our customers to unwind once stepping back into our property and combining this with true Thai hospitality has certainly enabled us win a few rewards since our opening in 2012. Thank you so much for also sharing your thoughts and we hope to see you again soon!
