I was in Bangkok for few days from March 31st until April 4th, for some medical check and leisure. I discovered the new Okura Prestige thru Leaders Hotels of the World. I was surprised and impressed by the architecture on he website and decided to stay there for my trip.
We were very welcome at our arrival and the checkin was fast and efficient. The view from our corner deluxe room was wonderful over Bangkok.
Breakfast was very tasty and with one of the best choice ever. The fruit station is wonderful, someone prepare the fruits continuously and the mango season was on.
The swimming pool is impressive, even if not enough deep to swim properly, but more for taking a bath with a view. The gym and facilties are high class.
We tried the japanese restaurant where everything was perfect.
We had the pleasure to enjoy the Club Lounge and especially the cocktail hour, with a big choice a home made snacks and food to go together with a nice choice of good drinks.
Overall the stay was perfect, the most impressive is the architecture of the building, together with the big efforts of everybody the get us a perfect stay. The hotel is very new, and cannot have the experience and routine of older established places. There is probably some adjustments that can be done, but it will come with time.
There is a real soul in that place and we were feeling better and better everyday of our stay.
The location is perfect, in a very alive part of Bangkok, and very convinient with BTS at the foot of the hotel.
