Everything works in this hotel. It's 1 min from subway station MRT Phetchaburi. Free and fast 10mbs WIFI in rooms and not just public areas like in other hotels. Glass-door showers with good water pressure and hot water.
Air conditioning is great. Clean. Beds are firm but comfy. Stuff is very friendly with good English. We got promotion with free breakfast and it was excellent. Our room had city view and we opened curtains to see a giant screen that shines at night giving real city feeling. 7-11 is 5 min walking distance and highly rated Bed Superclub is in walking distance.

We stayed at the Unico Premier MetroLink for one night while passing through Bangkok. At $47 per night it was one of the most expensive places we stayed during our two months in Asia but all hotels in Bangkok were expensive and this was one of the most reasonable we could find.

We booked alongside friends who chose the location because of it's proximity to the airport metro link as they were leaving by air the next morning. The hotel seemed to be in an area of town that is being developed so the location wasn't great for being central and the alley it was located in was a bit daunting at first site (surrounded by a building site and a derelict carpark when we visited!) but there seemed to be a lot being done to bring the surrounding area up to the same standard of the hotel.

We were greeted by the friendly reception staff and offered a complimentary drink while we checked in. Our bags were then transferred upstairs by porters which was a welcome change after climbing many many hotel stairs throughout Asia!

The room itself was lovely - as you would expect from a business hotel in any part of the world. Modern design, spotlessly clean, huge bed, lovely bathroom with powerful shower and we were lucky enough to have a fantastic view out of our window at the front of the hotel. Unfortunately our friends weren't so lucky and had a view of a brick wall - they'd actually paid ever so slightly more for their room having booked through a different agent so they weren't too happy that we nabbed the better room!

The buffet breakfast was excellent with a great variety of choices - we were over the moon to see cereal after months of nothing but baguettes for breakfast!

The only problem we experienced was that the hotel was quite far out from the centre of town. We had trouble finding a taxi that would take us to the hotel when we got dropped off by bus to Khao San Road and struggled with this the following day when we wanted to return to the hotel to collect our luggage after exploring the centre.

Overall though we were really pleased with the hotel experience and given how expensive other hotels in Bangkok were we would probably consider it again for future visits.

I chose this hotel because I wasn’t sure what to do or where to go in Bangkok. It turned out to be a good choice.

Right off the airport metro line and right near another line going throughout the whole city. It was very easy to get around.

If you’re just into temples then it’s a 10-15 minute train ride to Hua Lamphong, and then a 5 -10 minute taxi to the main temples in Bangkok.

Weekend market is a 15 minute train ride towards Bang su.

Clubbing including famous cowboy red-light district is 1 stop (2 minutes) train ride south.

To get to the famous paragon shopping mall it’s about 20-25 minutes one MRT station to sukhumvit and then a short walk to the sky train to Siam.

Airport is 15-20 minutes by train.

The hotel itself is very clean. Our rooms were in perfect order and the washrooms are also very clean. Walls are thick so no noise from neighbors. Breakfast was great and enough selection to keep me interested for 5 days.

The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful, some of the friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever met.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel. I would stay there again in the future.

Is a simple hotel, and with simple rooms.
Perfect for a visit to BKK on a budget.
Great VALUE!

Not exactly on city center but easy accessible by subway or taxi.

Breakfast was simple but I could not also expect much more.

Costumer service was also great - my credit card was booked 2 times (confusion on check out). After realizing the problem, but they promptly corrected the situation (email communication).

We selected Unico based on the great reviews here on trip advisor. I'm so glad we chose this hotel! We were in Bangkok for about 4 days and needed to use the metro to get around, this hotel fit the bill nicely because it is located literally steps from the Phetchubari MRT metro station. After a long day of touring Bangkok it is really nice to be able to step off the metro and right through the doors of your hotel. The staff were impressive from the moment we stepped foot in Unico, they gave us refreshing tea literally as soon as we pulled up to the counter for check in. Some one is immediately available to help you with your luggage and to show you your room. The hotel rooms are very clean and modern. Wifi is available in the rooms and is free of charge. Wifi speeds were plenty sufficient for my personal facebook, blogging, email, web surfing needs. There are also 2 computers down in the lobby for your use. Rooms include a safe for storing your personal belongings which is a nice feature. Bathroom, shower and sink were clean and well maintained. There is also a fitness room and small pool on the top level. Breakfast is served buffet style in a large dining room near the entrance. Staff always great you when you arrive and leave for the day. This is a really great choice for your stay in Bangkok.

Got a superior room for about USD50 with a complimentary breakfast; and was not disappointed at all. The reception service, housekeeping and the breakfast were great. Of course, they have got nice and wonderful staff there. Booked and paid thro' Agoda. No further deposit is required on arrival. Enjoyed the clean room, comfortable bed and the free in-room wifi was speedy too. Recommedned for couple or business for a night or two. Nearest MRT station is Phetchaburi, Exit 3 and the hotel is on your right side ~ it is about 4 minutes walk away. However, the nearest Airport Rail Link station is Makkasan about 18 mins walk, south direction towards the MRT & hotel.
