Cleanliness is for me the most important: the room, the bathroom and so where clean. They replace the towels if you want to. It seems that you need to ask if you want to have your room cleaned in day time, when you are staying there more than one night.

The value for money is good: Wifi, hot water, TV, even aircon included. (No breakfast though). The had a room without booking. Do not forget to ask to see the room and to ask for a discount.

It was easy to dry my clothes at the back of the hotel on the (public) balcony.

Location: very near Khaosan Road (strangerly: their address is Khaosan Road, while it is opposite at one of the ends. It is in the correct location on Google Maps though, but that doesn't list an address). Many restaurant and travel services around. Walking distance palace and river.

They have Wifi, shared with the neighbor restaurant - if you want to have good reception, make sure you have a room at the right side of the hotel, not higher than the third floor.

The street was extremely noisy one night, because the bar opposite kept the volume at maximum, so make sure to ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

Next door is good restaurant, and they have a very attractive lugguage service: for a very low fee they keep you luggage, first 3 days for free, after that you need to pay (I believe it was something like 10B a day or even less, but I cannot recall it exactly; however, if you need your stuff after 20:00, you need to pay a 'late penalty' of 100B).

The food and juice I got in the restaurant next door was more than excellent (I had the western breakfast this time). They are officially closed from around midnight to 08:00, but they don't really close, and it seems that they always can make something around 05:00, when I walked in.

Room tip: Ask for a room at the back, for more quietness.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here twice in the space of two months and could not get over the value for money. We arrived with out a booking both times and both times were able to check in straight away, despite the early time.

Lucky house is right at the top of Koh San Road, facing boots chemist. you are literally a ten minute walk from the Palace and directly across from Koh San and all the other little touristy streets up to the hotels right.
The reception staff were really friendly and keen to make suggestions on what to see do and how much they pay for taxis ( taxis in Bangkok love to rip you off so it is nice to know what locals pay).

As well as the location being amazing and the price being extremely low I was expecting the worst when it came to the rooms...but was pleasently suprised. while the rooms are small and basic they are SPOTLESS! couldn't find a fault! the air con is amazing and u actually forget how warm it is inside your room. there was a working tv and shower in our rooms both times. The tv has aljazera and the australian network as well as local channels. Towels were provided too. They also do luggage storage and actually seem to keep an eye on it which is rare!

Only flaw was that the beds are a bit hard but they are actually grand to sleep on, your just not going to sink into it!

we would both recommend it to friends and stay ourselves again. Best of everything, location yet it is quiet, its clean and cheap.

Room tip: There is no lift (only a baggage lift) so ask for a lower level!

Okay room for 390 bhat
AC works well + hot water.
Pretty good deal

I think it's the right distance from the Khoa San street because it's not far yet not noisy.

It's also comfortable that theres a 7 11 across the street...

We arrived at 7am and they had our room waiting!
The room was clean and airy and the aircon was a great bonus. The bathroom was large and clean with warm running water.
Im not too sure if the reviews below are from competetors, but we had a lovely stay here.
The location is good too, you step outside the main entrance and Khao San Road was right there.

Only negative was if you had a room close to the roadside as at night the music was loud.

Saying that we stayed 3 nights, went to Chaing Mai then stayed another 5 nights!

good place for a good price

The hotel is not on Khaosan Road but next to it. This is a plus, because it is not terribly loud.

Hotel very clean, I would recommend for a short stay.
