“Nice, large rooms close to Sukhumvit Road”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

The rooms in this hotel are quite spacious and modern looking. Everything was really clean. It is a long walk along soi 13 to get to the main road, but they have a complimentary tuk tuk to get there.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nites. It was quite loud in the morning with the construction. We were on a smoking floor and we could smell the smoke from the room next to us. Also, we could hear banging of room doors and music from neighboring rooms. After the first 3 nights, they moved to us to a higher non-smoking floor, which was quieter.

Breakfast was amazing! The best one I have ever eaten. Gym is quite good too. However, the pool is too small.

this was my second visit to the hotel, a great room with a very comfortable bed and separate rouge and kitchen. Internet and tv were great, breakfast was good too.

The pool was full every day so didn't get to use it, but their tuk tuk took us to the main road to catch strain to access all areas. Local area also has food, drink, massage and shopping all in short walking distance.

On this visit our room had a strange smell but we were moved once they realised that the smell could not be fixed. The Staff were very quick to help when there were any problems.

We stayed from 7-12 Jan and as the hotel got emptied the service got better.
The restaurant area was having some repairs but this was handled well by the staff keeping the area clean and organised amid the obviously awkward building issues.

Would go again.

I was captured by all the hype about the hotel and gave it a try. The comfort level there is great. The technology there is very advanced too yet there isnt something very special about it. The location is abit out of the way and definitely need a cab to move around although there are some small markets around and great tailors nearby ( INTER MILAN)

A group of us got very competitive (cheap!) rates for the studio rooms and they were excellent - comfiest beds, great bathroom, office area and access to the pool which was great. The staff were so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Downsides - building sites on either side but I think you would struggle to find anywhere in Bangkok which wasn't similar. Ok the Soi it's located on isn't that beautiful but it's slap bang next to everything including some of the best clubs, restaurants and bars which were just round the corner.

Not sure what the last 2 reviews are about. Yes there is construction next door. This is a city, how can people blame the hotel when someone is building beside them. Is it good business to tell people there is construction going on? no, not at all unless it is your property that is having the construction..as far a dark and gloomy is concerned, well, if you're attitude is 'I want to live like a queen and stay at the Madarin Oriental or Labua for 20% of the price' then maybe you should look at yourself and not the reviews.

My girlfriend and I booked 'In Residence' on agoda, and as we were looking for the hotel we had found out it is a Radisson. We were disappointed on our way to the hotel, as the reputation is not top notch in North America.

However, we arrived, check in was a breeze, everyone spoke English very well and were offered help with our beds more than once. We were asked if we would like to be upgraded for 500 baht, and we declined.

We arrived in our room, to find a couch, a desk, large fridge, microwave, a king size bed in a separate room and 2 large flat screens back to back (one facing the couch, and the other the bed). A large bathtub, an 'elephant' shower beside it (what I call showers with a Large shower head, and toilet in a separate area). The bed has proven to be extremely comfortable, not too soft and not too hard, best sleep I've had in the last month in Asia.Very impressed by this hotel.

As others have said there is construction, right outside our window on the 9th floor is almost level where the construction is at, so we can see them. HOWEVER we CANNOT hear them at all, they don't work through the night, and have no idea what time they start, as I cannot hear them! So do not let this be a deterrence!!

The location! Fantastic. 5 minute walk to Soi 11, where it is happening with nightlife as far as a few nice clubs, pubs and bars. 8 minutes walk the other direction you are at the Nana Metro, a few blocks away there is a big mall, and of course many restaurants nearby.

This hotel has a pool on the rooftop. A nice size if you are looking to do laps as I was. it's not an olympic size but it's of good size for swimming and is usually empty. There is also a 'hot' tub that is constantly on but the water temperature is NOT too hot, so it is quite nice to sit in even in the S.E.A. heat, though. The gym is not 'world gym' but has treadmills, elipticals, weight sets and enough equipment to get a full workout.

If you've read this far, and are thinking about this hotel, may be put off by some bad reviews, or the construction or perhaps Radisson. Don't be. I've never stayed at a Radisson, but wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property again. I have not tried the restaurant, so cannot comment, but everything else is top notch. Also, if you are looking to relax in bed, the TV channels are predominantly english, unlike many other places.

Not a bad choice at all.

Room Tip: Not sure if I have been upgraded or not as we weren't told, but we are happy with our room separ...

Don't believe the hype this hotel is far from a 5 star. The prices are however really good and there is an excellent restaurant nearby called Chillies. However, there was a massive roach in my room and tons of ants. This is definitely NOT a 5 star resort but for the money, its definitely good.
