“hard to find but worth the effort”

tried in vain to get a taxi here- no driver knew where it was, eventually found it by accident. Set in the old prison and incorpates part of the old cells. Wont be on many peoples must do's in Bangkok but provides an interesting insight into Bangkoks criminal justice system

“Most realistic museum I have ever encountered. Not to be missed.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2012

This museum with well worth your time to visit. I have visited many war museums over the world but none that gives you such a spine chilling feeling that you are actually walking through the actual time with real people not just wax models. When you arrive a warden takes you to an isolated cell block and unlocks the big padlock and waits outside while you walk through at your leisure but as you reach the end of the first block you have to walk through a long narow room which is filled with wax models that seem to transport you back to the actual time. I was hesitiant to go back to even take a photo. After leaving this block, it was securely locked again and we were then taken to another two blocks where there were pictures and more human wax displays of actual events. This museum is well worth the time to visit.
