We chose this place to try out another neighborhood in Bangkok and the photos looked amazing with respect to the price. However, the hotel is in a parking lot and has a tiny pool in the middle that I doubt anyone ever uses. We were surprised that all the rooms have NO WINDOWS. The rooms are clean, but very small. The photos of the hotel are accurate but without the context of the hotel's location it can be a little misleading.

The good thing is that the hotel is in a very good location, as it is close to the BTS train station and walking distance to Siam Square. Also, the surroundings are very local, interesting and have plenty of cheap food options. There is a Japanese restaurant next door to the hotel that appears to be the place to be for Japanese food. We did not have time to check it out, but it was always packed and the parking lot was always full of the customers' luxury cars.

Bottom line: There are better boutique hotels and serviced apartments in Bangkok for the same price.

Room Tip: There are NO WINDOWS at this hotel, so if you like sunlight it will be difficult to choose a good ro...

Easily accessible to both the Siam (Siam Paragon/Discovery Centre/MBK) as well as the Platinum Fashion Mall areas, a 1-2 min walk from BTS. Only a couple of stops to Chatuchak Market. There is a sushi bar in the hotel that is both fresh and reasonably priced. "Sushi Musa". A 2 bedroom suite is excellent for the family with a living area to congregrate. the 1 bedroom I'm told are a little small with no windows. (but seriously who needs windows if you are out for shopping all the time). The bed and pillows are comfortable.

Room Tip: Ask for a 2 bed room else on the higher floors as the groud floor can be a little noisy

The room is nice but crammed, there are no windows so you lose your feeling of time, Don't choose this hotel for the swimming pool as it is very small and along the parking area, I have never seen somebody actually swim in it.

There is however one plus point, it is right next door to the best Japanese restaurant I have ever been to, There are always queues there but they can call you in your room when they have a free table.

-Walking distance to the Pratunam fashion and IT malls.
-Walking distance to Siam Paragon and other upscale shopping centers.
-Short commute to the popular city temples and the Grand Palace.
-Short ride to patpong bargain center and redlight district.
-Restaurants and bars right below the BTS station.
-Helpful, courteous, polite staff who's more than willing to go the extra mile to assist you.
-Well appointed rooms and comfortable beds.
-5 minute walk to the Rachatthewi BTS station.

In short, Bangkok is an awesome city, and knowing that you go home to this lovely hotel at the end of every tiring day is just an awesome complete experience.

The plus point for this hotel is its proximity to a BTS station (Ratchathewi Station) at the Asia Hotel, which is just diagonally across. The room we stayed at was basic, on the small side but had chic touches like the floors and deco. There were no windows but that didn't bother us as there is no view to speak of and the noise level from outside is reduced. We still did hear a blaring of loud music at around 8 am and we were told that it was from a school nearby.
The people working at the reception were not especially friendly and most of them it seemed had only the most basic English proficiency at best.
For a short stay, this hotel is perfectly alright with its convenient location. 7-11 is close by and also a very good restaurant The Tree House, frequented it seems by mostly locals.
(Note for travelers with walking disability/handicap: This hotel does not have an elevator/lift.)

You cant beat this location, youre about a 3 min walk to the BTS and no more than a 15 min walk to the MBK shopping mall. Second, the pictures of the rooms and the hotel that you see on their site are exactly as they are-gorgeous. Staff are friendly, I needed help w/ my booking dates and the manager was super helpful.

The only downside for me (and why I wont give 4 stars) is we had a week stay and the lack of natural light coming into my room affected me. From what I understand all the rooms except a couple of the expensive "Superior" rooms have windows. Otherwise its a great deal, even the mini bar and massage was barely more expensive than street prices. Also, theres a Sushi restaurant on the premises that must be good bc it was always packed but is expensive.

Lastly a tip for the adventurous, If you make a right and than another right when you get out of the hotel, than about 4 blocks down (I think before the laundry place) make a left and go down an alley theres a rather big, "locals" market w/ fresh fruit, veggies and yummy super cheap street food.

Siam Swana seems to be a new hotel where not that well-known among the taxi driver but easily could find it due to it located just next to Asia Hotel which is one of the most famous hotel in Pratunam area. Great stay in Siam Swana where surrounding are extremely comfy even you are staying in the city center. 2 mins walk to the Sky Train Station and it's just one station away from Siam Station! Extremely convenient and taxis are everywhere at the roadside.

Kinda hard to get on taxi nowadays due to the driver are getting picky and choosy on where we asked them to send us. But still we managed to get on the taxi after few rejection ... It is highly advisable to stay near the BTS as you would always have an alternative transport for yourself.

Journey from the airport to the hotel is extremely easy as well. Just get on the Airport to City train and from the train transfer to BTS just one station away you will reach the hotel station.

Foods are everywhere at the roadside. Best known Japanese restaurant is located in the hotel area. Personally , i think Malaysia has better Japanese foods... but the chicken rice and wonton mee in front of the 7-11 are yummy.. 7-11 convenient store is just opposite the hotel .. How convenient is that!

They actually have a pool!!! not a big pool but just nice for you to relax and there is a bar for you to grab some beverages.. Relaxing!!!
